I miss dead mall series, I’m glad you’re bringing it back. ADR isn’t my thing.
The future sure is pretty much never leaving the house

I know, right. There won’t be anywhere to go except stay home and surf the web. Bloody depressing.

Yeah but that’s okay though. Humanity sometimes needs to find themselves.
Dan Bell you’re the one and only true dead mall king. Thanks for this!
It’s so fun to revisit these old friends/malls remastered in 4K!
Wendy’s was a stand alone store in the lower level parking lot by the old Levitz. I think you were looking into the old Yum Yum Bar (but it could have been the Orange Bowl).
Love these videos. Thank you Dan for remastering these amazing videos!
honestly with you remastering this series i couldnt be happier. ill leave it at that
so terrible how they put the trashcans right next to the benches.. that is non-fungshui
I have vague memories of this place; last time I was here was probably in 1987-88 when I got excited to buy a walkman here. I used to visit this place all the time when I was little and still remember WDG. I also remember the Wendy's too. But the thing that fascinated me was the steel mill closeby.
I mainly went to 3 malls growing up in northern Delaware. Tri-State was one of them. Dry Goods/Value City (where Burlington was in this video) was a big destination as was the K-mart (my best friend worked there in high school) I also saw many movies in that Eric theatre. If there's a lot of construction going on, hopefully the site is ripe for something great going in there.

Loved reading your happy memories thanks so much for sharing them , Pamela ❤️🖖
Wendys wasn't inside the mall, it was across the parking lot on the rear side. The place inside the mall used to be hot dog joint called the Yum Yum Bar. I ate there many times as a child.
Thanks Dan! We love the vintage flavor!
When my car was getting speakers installed at the stereo place around the corner from the mall I sat in that mall waiting for hours. It was depressing
You know, this really is a shame. I can remember going to the Dry Goods store that was located there with my late mother. It was always exciting because she frequently let me buy a 45 record. I never made it to the Dry Goods in Wilmington. There used to also be a drive-in movie theater almost right next to this mall. Really sad to watch this happen. How can a company that owns a mall like this just allow it to degrade into this? Thanks for making this video.

Thank you for sharing your memories Charles. I'm sorry Tri-State Mall deteriorated too. The water tower always made me want to visit. Really liked reading your happy memories ❤️
I think I would break into the theater with my LED projector and watch movies on my breaks.
Short & sweet, loved the video.
Crazy how cars have changed as well over the years all the older cars
hey Dan, new subcriber here from bakersfield ca, and im lovin the channel, have you ever thought of exploring the abandoned Hawthorne ca mall? its been closed since the 90s, and they have mad movies there, and many go into it to skate and such, but its pretty cool, and i think the anchor store was the Broadway and it stills ays broadway on the street side of the mall i think, and any others in ca you could explore? thanks have a good weekend!

I think the anchor was Montgomery wards. I worked at Northrop in the 90s there and I remember the busts of the black heroes like magic Johnson and panhandlers hitting me up for money.
When I was a kid in the 80s my Grandmother and Mother used to take me to Wilmington Dry Goods to get clothes. I still had recently gone to the GoodYear tire located on the property. I read recently like a couple days ago, they are finally tearing the mall down and building a mixed use sight.

Thanks for the update John. I'm sorry to see it's getting torn down 😢💔
The brown tiles, wood trim, and silver squares on the posts scream 80's.
such a nice place. they can be revived if they lower the rent for shopkeepers
What a dark depressing mall
Dated? My favorite! Gimme that vintage mall aesthetic.
Man I remember the yum yum bar. I swore this place was amazing when I was a kid. Now I’m like wtf lol 😂
Looks like Serramonte Mall in Daly City, California. It has that plus shape structure with almost similar windows.
I went and drove around this mall recently after it closed they are using the old Kmart and Burlington coat factory as storage for construction stuff the parking lot is full of construction stuff the main mall I could see from driving by had like this construction sheeting like they’re probably repurposing the space I’ve never really been here that much but I remember the Kmart when it was still open and it was depressing looking with unorganized merchandise and very little people it had a lot of empty space. It looked worse than most kmarts that were open in my opinion it was also pretty small and it wasn’t closing when I was there also the lettering on the water tower has been removed and the whole tower was painted over
Bette Davis would say, "What a DUMP!"
It's the over supply of junk that killed malls.
You're the best, Dan. ♡
Wow from the out side I thought it was a funeral home
Small mall!
Mia needs to move that obstacle out of the way. What did 2:43 measure on the Richter scale ?
Yum yum bat Wendy. Was located on the back side of the mall Lone stand
I think the current plans are a new warehouse.

was the virtua fighter arcade machine still there? ):
Dan was on Vine
Your right, why would anyone shop in a place that is so run down?
