Dan Bell remastered is the best Christmas gift ever!
Abandoned mall videos are extra special to watch, compared to dead malls that are still functioning. Especially the ones that have been demolished afterwards. Just so mesmerizing, spooky, and romantically depressing. It’s like visiting a grave site. So many people have come and gone from a lost time of retail shopping.
I love when Dan finds remnants of places long closed that remind me of my childhood, like at 3:20 with Ben Franklin Crafts. We had a few in my area when I was but a wee lad. This channel has become my happy place, thanks Dan!
Fake plants always add that extra touch of elegance to a mall.
Love this one. My brother used to work in the movie theater back in the day. I worked at the Sears in the one across the road. That one is gone too. Great memories Dan.
My partner used to go to this mall when he was a kid. When I showed him this video he was telling about the Arcade there that he and his sister used to play at. I'm surprised the plants were still hanging there.
Marketplace was my local mall as a kid in the 90's. I was there almost every weekend. Anchor stores were Safeway, Ben Franklin, the movie theater in the back, Metro Video and CVS. There was also a jewelry store, a play place business for kids, Athlete's Foot which IIRC became a Foot Locker. Soo many other stores over the years til it died out

Thank you for sharing your memories 😘❤️🖖
I don't know why the mall music is so haunting to me. Maybe because it will soon be a favorite past time in the near future.
you are definitely the best Dan! Love the content especially the dead malls
Music was dead on for the era of this place. Those wood sign holders on the ceiling were really unique.
Somewhere, in the middle of that mall that day, a Bath And Body Works store was still open...
Been following Dan for YEARS but I knew this was old when he mentions Vine 😱

P.s., thank you for remastering these Dan. I love rewatching your work :)
Would love to have seen this mall in it's prime. So many unique features.
The original dead mall king is back
Best part of the Time Machine. You're the best Dan, Love you 😘❤️🖖🔥♾️🕉️🥰
🤩What a historical gem this video is! I moved to Bowie in 2016 and had no idea that we once had an indoor mall. Very cool!!
That arboretum was gorgeous 😍 I wish that I could have been at the last auction for the random bits and pieces because I would have certainly bought it. I really like the creative decor of the 80s malls and would love to have a little piece of something that for my personal collection. Even the thriving malls in the US and overseas are all boring in design, nothing looks as good as the 80s vintage!
This video is crazyy to watch upsidedown, I recommend it
I used to go to Mayfield Mall in Mountain View, California. It closed down long ago, and the inside was completely gutted. The building sat empty for many years. It was used by the Mountain View Police to train their police dogs to search for hiding suspects. Then Google bought the property and converted the building into a large office complex.
cant check you out on vine anymore:(
