Damn, looks good.

Two things I got from this: this game is very well optimized and Xbox has some confusing names for their console.

Series S was it recorded on a monitor or tv?

Another game that runs rock solid on PS5, NO frame drops. Unfortunate the series X isn't blowing the PS5 away with its flip flops and sun shaders.

Looks great all around tbh. But i definitely wouldn't play on anything last generation. The lack of tree movement and only 30fps is a no go.

Hard to say! The pc specs they released for PC seem beefy!Your gonna have to play around with the settings to really test it all out!

The shadows look baked in last gen versions. Not at all surprised. I mean the difference between PS2/PS3 games used to be staggering. Last gen console owners should feel lucky they're still getting games with near next gen graphics.

The shadows look blurry on series x for the palm trees while PS5 are sharp and defined, see for yourself

@@darrellbruce3212 you obviously know nothing. The PS5 has faster IO throuput and 3x faster SSD so it can stream in game assets better. Look at ghost wire Tokyo, Hogwarts, resident evil 4, dead island 2, a whole slew of games run better on PS5. Mark Cerney said he went to all the major developers asked them what they want in a next generation machine. Not one said tflops. It's IO throuput and SSD, no bottlenecks. There were always PC with high tflops, Mark Cerney said he would change the way games can be developed. Series x can't stream in assets fast enough plain and simple, also has split RAM wich was stupid, and no matter what developers are too busy just trying to get games to run at all on series S, another stupid idea holding back the industry

if i'm being self-active, there's not a big difference between platforms, seriously, even on ps4 or xos it looks good

Last gen has no tree/grass movement and it can’t go past 30fps,but if these things don’t matter to you then yeah-no real difference.

I have both versions but it's just funny how you guys don't talk about reflection, particles, and how the shadows are way better detail on PS5.

So buy for ps5 or Series X? Will be using a 1440p monitor that doesn’t support VRR

@@carolinagamer2874 I noticed that too. PS5 has significantly better shadows and better shadow draw distance. The Series X seems to draw the higher quality shadows when you're walking close to them, but PS5 they are detailed further into the distance. Very interesting.

Next gen consoles have fov sliders, so I think the max you can go is between 100-120 degrees.

I don't what to get it on, Xbox has better draw distance and better shadows but i have a feeling there will be sections where it runs considerably worse than PS5.

If your using a series x, that's not likely to happen. Almost every game I've played on series x has run properly even though some KZreadrs have found problems. Id say it's rare isolated scenarios, rather than something that's gonna happen to everyone.

Re4, dead space, Callisto, Hogwarts run great on Xbox series x. I've had no problems in each aside from Callisto having a save bug that changes the camera angle . Its fixed when you reload the save instead of hitting continue.

@RevivedSaiyan I got it on PS5 for the stability, Digital Foundry have also stated it drops a few frames when using elemental attacks. The game does look better on Series X though with better draw distance, textures and more realistic shadows. It would be unnoticeable with VRR enabled, something i completely forgot about.

It runs better on the Xbox. I have it on both systems. The only thing that sucks about the game is there is going to be no co-op on the PlayStation four and the older Xbox at all on the co-op and online play is only for the new systems. The leather looks a lot more SHINee on the PlayStation five version and it looks a lot more real on the Xbox version for like leather pants in leather jackets and stuff The Xbox reflections and everything are a lot more better on the cars and everything to an Xbox version so there’s not a big difference between the PlayStation and Xbox but it’s noticeable enough

It runs good on last generation because developers are still developing for last gen there not using 16 cores there using 8 just like last gen this is when xbox series has not performed better then ps5 because ps5 is a cross between last and current generation so its easier to optimize these games for it

its 54 gb on xbox series x, but its 17 gb on ps4 and it is almost pretty much the same graphics, that is quite impressive tbh

There's another video online comparing textures on the ground and the PS5 is considerably lacking when compared to Series X. I'm wondering if this is all around or maybe just this one area. The shadows do look more realistic on Series X with them being sharper on PS5. The PS5 is most definitely more stable, maybes the shadows on Series X are a bit to much.

Hasn't been confirmed. Put the video in 4K and look at the close up shots and I'll bet my right arm that you won't notice a difference. Had it been 1800p vs 4k you would have noticed the PS5 was significantly blurrier, but it isn't. Its safe to assume they are both using dynamic resolution with the average being 1800p. Even at 10:09, if you look at the water you can see both versions exhibit some severe reconstruction artifacts.
