It curses you though, so only do it if you're really good at not getting hit in combat

I haven't made it past the light level Jason was talking about, and I'm not sure I ever will. Those little ninja guys don't fuck around.

My only complaint is not enough enemy variety.

I've been playing this on my switch for the past week and I cant put it down! Such an awesome game! Heard about it for the first time on the Bombcast at console release.

This game looks beautiful and really fun. I'm thinking of buying it for the switch, do you guys recommend it?

Josh Holloway yeah I played it on PS4 and couldn't get into it. It's really hard to see your character sometimes. But I might be the minority on that one because I'm colorblind.

Hollow knight gets really colorful at some stages.

The camera movement is giving me a headache. It's probably fine when you're playing it, but this game is hard for me to watch.

This is my favorite game of the year so far (it counts as a 2018 release, right? Early access is confusing). Wish I had waited to buy it on Switch. Don’t usually double dip on games but might have to for this.

I can confirm it is running a bit shit on my Switch! Got me killed by jumping frames and I had blueprints and ALOT of cells on me :(

GoW is probably going to end up as goty, after the MASSIVE ammount of praise and attention it got, no other game this year has gotten as much praise, but this will be goty for me personally.

Is 41 minutes really a _QUICK_ look? From the few minutes I saw, this looks just like Wizard of legend but side-scroller instead of top-down.

the moment I hear the rogue-like I don't care anymore, I'm sure the game is fun once but the moment death happens and I end up back at the start I'm just like "well that was fun waste of progress" then I but the controller down and never touch it again.

It isn't really, though. You can almost always spend the cells (xp, basically) you gain during your run, so you're always building towards something. And you're unlocking more and more stuff as you go along. Even starting back at the beginning, you start flying through early parts once you're farther along.

I like to feel like I'm making progress when I'm playing a game and regardless of what the game may give me, getting jettisoned back to the start upon failure is a loss of progress.

One of my favorite video series is Monster Hunter which has 14 different weapon types that play completely different from one another. I never thought to myself that the game would be more fun if it took all my armor and items away and then denied my access to higher ranks of hunts while forcing me to use a weapon I may or may not like. In short, I hate RNG.

Shocking amount of incorrect info for a quick look with a 100 hours of experience put in.

Like all the stuff he said was new to the final version. Most of that was put into the game over the last year. All version 1.0 really added was some lore.

Salty much? It's probably the most influential game this decade and will never be forgotten, regardless of however much you want it to. That said. Dead Cells doesn't owe that much to Dark Souls.
