Dead Can Dance makes such universal deep transcendental music that it fits the cultural imagery of all corners of the Earth. It's so powerful, so beautiful that's humanly impossible to leave unscathed after you listen to them. Best music in the world.

In the early 90's I discovered Dead Can Dance and the music they're making is seemingly beyond the Earth... so beautiful. And therefore I fully agree with you, Adson, that Dead Can Dance (with Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry (and their fellow musicians)) compose the best music in the world. In these years I was fully into metal, like Flotsam & Jetsam, Sanctuary, Prong, Kreator... and so on. To learn about Dead Can Dance was the best thing ever in music. Dead Can Dance was/is truly an eye-opener for me. I'm for a period of 30 years a massive fan. Some music I compare with Dead Can Dance is the music of Wajiha and Farid Rastagar. Although I cannot understand any word they're singing, but there is a great passion involved in composing their music. So, Dead Can Dance fans among us, try out Wajiha and Farid Rastagar.

''Dead Can Dance''... is a British-Australian musical project formed in 1981 in Melbourne by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. The band relocated to London, England, in May 1982. Having disbanded in 1998, they reunited briefly in 2005 for a world tour and reformed in 2011 when they released and toured a new album, ''Anastasis''. ''Anastasis'' is the 8th studio album of ''Dead Can Dance'' and released in 13 August 2012. ''Kiko'' is the 5th of 8 songs of this album. The title ''Anastasis'' is the Greek word for ''Resurrection''. In 2 Novenber 2018, it's to be officially released the 9th studio album of ''Dead Can Dance'' with the title ''Dionysus'', which, is the Greek word/name of the Ancient Greek God of wine. ''Dead Can Dance'' has a highly eclectic musical style, difficult to classify. However, their early works could fit into darkwave. Their later songs were influenced by musical species from all over the world, with Lisa singing tongues (Greek word: ''Glossolalia''), giving them a very distinctive style. Their last records are more different than the first three, and are closer to neoclassical music, ethereal wave and dark world music. It seems also that, they have influences from Greek music (Ancient, Byzantine and Modern) both in melodies and the rhythms they play... The name of the band is inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns's Danse macabre classical music and the corresponding poem by Henri Cazalis (Zig, zig, zig, Death in a cadence) and is also a pun on decadence.

The footage, the capture and the camera angles of the Balinese dancers (the scene before the end) with that specific part of the song is marvelous.

My goodness. I can't help but to tear up everytime I look in their eyes. And the rhythm of the drums ...does something... I feel nothing but love and adoration after watching and hearing this song. The other one Song of the Dissonance .... powerful!!!! Breaks thru any brick wall u have around your heart. Just saying. The Dead can Certainly Dance!!! 😍 I'm now a beloved fan of this band!

The ending of this song is incredible! Wow, so far they have some amazing music. I'd already known about The Host of Seraphim from having seen Baraka about 10 years ago. That's one of THE most intense songs I've ever heard. This here was fantastic - has a sensuality to it that I'm loving.

This just goes on and on hitting me between the eyes. I think it's my favourite video of all I've ever seen on KZread. Every bit of it is superb, but the image of that Chinese woman at the beginning and end is mesmerising. The face, the eyes, the hand movements, the purity of form.... If Helen's was the face that launched a thousand ships, this face is the one to which you would trust your destiny.

Probably one of the most awe inspiring and humbling combinations of music and video I have seen in a very long time. Truly captivating, reminding me, there is so much of the world I would dearly love to see and experience, yet in my disability will use YT to bring them to me instead. Beautiful, a sensory feast that we should all take time to truly enjoy. Only when we take time to immerse ourselves in other cultures can we wholly appreciate the significance and meaning behind language, gestures and the whole essence of being that we often breeze past in our own lives. Enough talk, just watch, be, and enjoy again
