The Infamousdingus The thing with Oni, is that he seems incredibly enraged, and bloodlusted. You already know he’s coming for you. Deathslinger, however, looks incredibly calm..To the point he looks just as intimidating as Myers. That cold stare from his trailer, gave me more shivers than Oni’s bulky and powerful appearance.

@@j0JP Doctor is actually good after his rework, there's no more hidding against him and his shock therapy can and will finish loops much, much faster. Clown on the other hand is just utterly garbage with cool perks.

The interesting thing about Caleb "Deathslinger" Quinn is that he's probably the most sane of the original killers, look at the back stories of all of the others, they've gone insane, they've turned into wild animals, they sometimes barely look human, but Deathslinger, his sadism is subdued, its calm and cold and meticulous. He's a mechanical genius, he's a bounty hunter, he's a predator, and it shows in his movements. Its always composed, purposeful, relentless, fearless, he enjoys the fear and the pain just as much as the rest, but the real thrill is in the chase, being made to work for his prey, made to hunt, that's what he wants, he'd let them have a headstart cause it makes things more interesting

Yeah, compared to a lot of the other Killers, the Deathslinger isn't just a wild animal. He's not as wasteful. He takes life for specific, mostly-rational reasons; he killed criminals for the bounties on their heads, and then he killed Henry Bayshore and the prison warden for personally wronging him. And he also killed anyone who tried to stop him, of course.

The slow moving pace Deathslinger continues to do as he walks regardless if in a chase or not honestly intimidates me in a way I can't really explain. Its like he is completely calm throughout the trials as he chases everyone, only giving small chuckles and laughs of satisfaction because he knows he hit what would soon more than likely be a sacriface because he knew they couldn't escape the grasp of his speargun very often.

And that those who are musically inclined make music based on the "Entity's theme", which is universal across all themes. Same thing with the "Smile" motif used for masks such as Trapper's, Suzie's, and Feng's. But, those are just pet theories of mine. If true, it would connect itself more to the Lovecraftian inspiration the Entity is based off of.

I think chains of hate was one of the best chapters released. The theme is terrifying, deathslinger is an intimidating killer, and the map was gorgeous and filled with such great details.

I’ll never forget the community’s reaction to seeing Deathslinger’s weapon for the first time and how everyone’s jaw dropped the moment we all witnessed it shoot (and injure someone). We had all been joking for so long about the comical implications of Behaviour just giving a killer a gun and they finally memed on our memes by making it into a reality. Such an ironic turn of events.

This will become one of the rarest soundtracks in the game after the next update where they have nerfed him pointlessly.

Deathslinger has a lot of the best stuff in the game (imo). Best lore, best voice, best mori, and, of course, best chase theme. This is legit so fitting to Caleb not just as a Killer, but a character in general.

@@dr.catinstein4296you’ll notice his gun has two heads: The bayonet and the actual shot. The gun part is located on the top of those two heads and the bayonet is on the bottom. I think what happens is that he impales them with the bayonet which then leaves the shot itself resting behind the survivors head. When he shoots, it comes out of their mouth

This has the feeling of a chase scene in a western, but the one that’s chasing is a maniac.

The low pitch violin strings that carry though 1:30 are what I love about this.

I would genuinely watch a movie about this guy, he's awesome

I love playing and fighting the Deathslinger He's just so fun to play and when your facing him he keeps you on your toes like he can hit you at anytime he wants your playing his game not yours. Finally we got a killer that your at the mercy too not the other way around

This chase them is legit scary for a cowboy killer!

Actually in his lore, he and his family were victims of discrimination, probably because Irish people weren’t considered “white” during that time period. 🤔

The warden who feigned friendship with you in order to use you to fill his first for-profit prison with living sla-inmates actually worked with your patents stealing boss? Call your gang to massacre the prison guards, beat the warden and the boss until the only thing they can beg for is death, and then toss them to their inmates! Fun!

Cavior Samhain the irish were considered second class citizens for a long time, especially in england. Its fucked up. They were considered “the blacks of europe”

i remember my first ever game of dbd it was when deathslinger just came out (i was scared shitless we all found dbd scary at some point) and when i heard this in game and saw a huge guy pointing a speargun at me and hearing this amazing music, unforgettable experience

I’ve never found dbd scary what so ever but this music is generally really freaking

I had a good hoot an’ holler when I heard we were getting a cowboy as a killer. I didn’t have high expectations for fear factor or the killer and even chuckled a bit when I heard he even had a gun to reel in survivors. Let me tell you, first game against him and my mind quickly changed. The music was eerie and seeing a glimpse of him gave me chills. I hid in a cornfield trying to find out where he was when I lost track of him. Then suddenly without warning a harpoon struck me within the field as well. I panicked when the music erupted from 1:00 to an intense beat 1:30 I barely managed to survive the trial. I was hooked once. His chuckle made me uneasy. So, when I escaped, I no longer took this killer as a laughing matter. I picture his cold stare from the trailer whenever I hear his name, “The Deathslinger”

when I first started playing Dead by Daylight, one of the first few matches was against the Deathslinger. I remember saying: You've got to be fucking kidding me! A fucking Gun? This is insane!

Perhaps one of the most frustrating killers to go against, but has the most badass chase music out of them all.

Easily the single most menacing figure to see walking towards you

I still come back to this because I love his chase theme. Also I think 0:59 just sounds nerve racking

Man i love the tension and adrenaline rush this song gives You really feel like a defenseless creature running for it's life

i love that this chase music isn't intense because deathslinger is never always behind you. he's always at a distance ready to fire with his speargun

This part of the terror radius gives me the Shivers 0:40

I imagine a cutscene where your character is repairing a generator, pauses and sees Deathslinger standing in an open field. And then turns his head to you, and then the chase begins.

He has thee best terrior radius music ingame! I especially like the end part of the chase music when the strings are played at the Coda. It's my favorite part! This killer is so tight!

Easily Top Tier Chase Music

I love his chase theme, love the beat that always pump my anxiety while got chased

It's impossible not to get a wide eyed, depraved hunting stare and smile when the chase music starts. That shit is a psychotic bop

Probably my favorite chase music in all of DBD. Wish his regular terror radius tune would be a little louder/ more ominous though

One thing that really creeps me out about the 16 meters for this guy is there is a very low bass sound that almost sounds like someone taking a slow footstep and its getting closer and closer, louder and louder, its hard to hear but once ive heard it i cant unhear it (you can hear it best from 0:44 through the rest of the 16 meters)

The theme of "and then I fired, and then I missed. And then I fired, and then I fired, and then I missed again."

This theme makes playing against him so much more interesting compared to other killers. Strange how just music alone can do this.
