75% of the time my team gets it but I feel you, sometime we would have all escaped if the other survivors participated. I have some games where I pop 3 gens solo and I get hooked and everyone leaves cuz I distracted the killer smh. Like sometimes you have to leave cu you have been hooked twice and in a injured state and the last one but if you have no hooks and a couple people...

How to play: Always pick Dead Hard, borrowed time and decisive strike, with the 4th probably being unbreakable. When downed, hooked or sacrificed, blame the game, your teammates or the killer's skills. If the game isnt working as intended, wait 1-2 months and redeem 100-150k blood points as a "we're sorry" from beHavior

@ª at least ruin and undying can be cleansed. Killer mains are kinda forced to run boring playstyles because of imbalance

For new players trying to learn how to play survivor, i know the game is scary, but spend a maximum of 60 seconds hiding in the corners of the map. if you are not cleansing a totem, doing a gen, or helping a teammate, you are wasting time. Please try and get away from the shadows and be proactive in trials! Even if its scary

How to play survivor: Generators: watch out for those stingy gens, you're going to want to stay a good 300 feet from those Chases: try your best not to get in one, if you do you're going to have to get down in the first 5 seconds and do try to drop as many pallets as you can. Teammates: remember one key phrase "you're the only important one in the trial" if a teammate gets hooked be sure to leave them as long as you can, if you need to save them be sure to save them after they reach second state. And make sure they get farmed, remember as long as you escape it's a good game. Escaping: if the gates are open dont escape immediately, you're going to want to crouch and click your flashlight at the killer even if you did nothing the entire match. And if you die, get mad at the killer and call them bad. Remember: everything is their fault and you did nothing wrong. Always. And that is all you need to know about survivor, come back next week for killer!

Totem: being hex or not, they're your priority at all times. Search for them, always. Especially while your fellow survivors are dying on the hook

I literally got chills at the end listening to the narrator's voice. He is absolutely fantastic, and despite the many flaws of DBD, the way he describes the trial and other things reminds me of why I adore it. Hopefully he continues narrating for other chapters. I missed his voice so much.

@@haypochi1263 i'd take 4 survivors with that many hours total 100% of the time. Skill and experience SHOULD win you games. I'm a hugely survivor main due to colorblind mode being so new. But even I know bhvr is heavily heavily weighting the game in favor of survivor or killer. They just need to focus on high mmr play to make it so that ~ equal skill level gets what they consider a draw, which is two kill. The current method of listening to whiners and low level players (like myself, i'm garbage at this game even though i love it) just makes for an unbalanced and less interesting game.

Biggest oof of new killers not getting new maps is how it applies to killer lore. Killers with the exception of Clown/Blight aren’t allowed to leave their realms. Thus, Trickster and Twins really have no “realm” they’re apart of, so lore wise their existence in game isn’t really sensible by the established rules.

@@djangomarkov7948 No..? I’m talking lore my guy. 90% of matches you play in DbD aren’t considered canon by the game’s over arching story. Killers don’t leave their realms for trials, nor do realms exist alongside one another. Killers and their realms essentially enter a state of limbo after a trial ends while survivors are able to go back to the campfire. Blight and Clown are capable of traversing different realms in universe for different reasons. Clown is the Entity’s favorite because of how unashamedly ruthless and evil he is, so the entity takes pleasure in watching him do his thing. The Blight is taunted with visions of his beloved flowers in different realms to lure him to other trials. All confirmed by devs my guy.

Use every crutch perk, gloat at exits, harass the killer. Sounds about right

I haven't heard this guy's voice in so long! And this video is actually really good too, it covers the basics and actually tells you to help your team instead of being a coward!

By default, it takes 20 seconds to open an exit gate. So yes, it takes some time. Use Remember Me or No Way Out to slow it more, or use the Nurse to move very quickly to the gates. You have several options for every problem, take the time to consider them.

The only reason this game isn't broken is that survivors have no idea about the shift + w meta, which is the easiest shit to pull off as well, they just don't know about it, it literally wastes like 40 seconds before the actual looping starts, that's half a generator, or if the killer knows what you're up to they'll just leave you alone for you to work on the gen you were on You heard me right folks, holding shift and w is the most busted strategy in dbd and I'm not even taking the piss, watch an Oracle match for example, a pro team that pulls this off if you don't believe me

I am very positively surprised by this. This video is... really well done. It's kept very simple which is perfect for new comers, it's short so it doesn't drag on with details and it gives people all the information that they need + some little extra stuff to make it more fun for everyone with things like (helps others at the cost of your own safety to increase survival chances) Teaching new players to not be selfish survivors is an amazing thing. I am really happy about this, good job DbD Team. You knocked out of the park with this one

We know how to play, but I’m so glad that the narrator is back.

How to really play survivor: 1. Spectate the survivor looping the killer 2. Make sure to not touch a generator until everyone is on death hook 3. Drop every pallet in sight when getting chased 4. Escape thru hatch 5. Repeat.

Just repair gens and hold shift + w, also do circles around pallets

I mean, if you are new to the game, it is. Honestly, as a "beginner's guide" I think it serves well. Sure it's missing a lot, but I feel it put a lot of the general info into a good format.

It is if you are new. Even a New killer has pretty much infinite time to kill since survivors hide due to slightest TR.
