this is the same animation of generally getting stunned while carrying a survivor so they aren't really shielding their eyes and instead rince in pain from survivor's punches and kicks

Love how blight holds on his cane. It gives him brief moment of humanity in an otherwise inhuman shell of his former self

I like the Dredge's one. You clearly can see the light is not only hurt but even scare it

3:42 I like how animalistic the xeno’s is. The little frightened screech and then an angry roar. Edit: forgot to mention this, you can see inside the slightly transparent part of the head, I’m assuming if he aimed down more you could see the skull in there.

It's so unbelievably hilarious that killers with no eyes and killers with not working eyes still cover their eyes. Especially pyramid head, and how Wesker is literally wearing sunglasses and still goes down.

I think the idea, in world, is that light burns the killers and the "face" is simply a weak point. Explains why Demo and Wesker are "blinded" by the light; they're being hit where they hurt. Pyramidhead makes less sense but we know he's got a tongue/flesh in there so maybe there's some sort of face to burn?

Chucky plummeting to the ground after being dropped is pretty funny, and it's neat seeing him drag the knife back before standing up. Singularity by far has the scariest recovery. The zip back is very intimidating

It's nice to be able to see the animations. In gameplay you don't get to see them often if your playing as the killer or when you're too focused on trying to escape from the killer as survivor.

I still find it funny that wesker can be blinded even though he wears sunglasses

I feel like pyramid head and demogorgan should be immune to it on account of having no eyes and Wesker should take half as long to get back due to sunglasses

I feel like they did Pyramid Head so dirty with his animations no use of his great knife for breaking pallets, gens or walls and he covers his "face" with his hand like he has eyes right there idk i love silent hill and Pyramid Head to death and i will always feel like they could have been much more unique with his animations

Someone else mentioned that Dredge is a being of darkness, and that the light seems to actually hurt it, which makes me wonder if the swinging of its weapon is it throwing a tantrum or it trying to defend itself 🤔

You can tell most blinds are based off the same animation until around spirit when they get more bespoke with them.

Tbh I like Onryo’s more. But charlotte protecting victors eyes instead is so cute ❤😭
