That's so sad how they are bad live. Pontus is doing great other things but not singing. They need to find some nice clean vocalist, Chris will be focusing on his great harsh vocals and they will raise up.

Jesus... the only redeeming factor of this band now days is christopher. But i cant understand the lipsync when chris is a great vocalist..

So heartbreaking to see them like this right now Been supporting them well over 14 years now they was absolutely amazing I don’t like the direction they are heading right now Shame Jimmie will never be allowed back plus Jimmie is not a fan of doing clean vocals prefers screams and growls Shame really Pontus not always been the strongest clean Vocals but I’ve heard him do better Take away the whole Mic headpiece give him a stand may actually be better for him let movement Just hope one day we will see them at their best again

I will see them live in a couple weeks and am excited to see them live for once regardless even though their live appearance is very questionable ^^

Dead by April was a band from 2007-2009. After that it has been just a studio project that has been repeating itself to death and being a endless source of shame when they try to play live. It's just embarrassing.

Let's just finally face it and see them for who they truly are: A gimmick, and not a work of art. A bunch of talentless hacks looking to milk money by completely ripping off the sound and looks of Evanescence and Linkin Park, while failing to realize what made bands like those so great in the first place. (Like those late 1980:s glam-metal bands who did the exact same thing by copying the sound and looks of early 1980:s bands like Van Halen and Twisted Sister.)

So much lip syncing.... I don't understand why they think it's ok.

I just want to put this out there... Do not rely on these videos when judging them live... Whatever it is about these videos, it's not it... and it's pretty wild to me. I went to see them in Birmingham in 2023... and i will say a few things. No.1, the band greeted everyone before the show, and attendance was barely over 100, if even near 100... The venue was small, compact but amazingly funded and well set up. A very popular private venue Lighting was PERFECT... Barely could you see any light that wasn't pyro or placed overwhelmingly. Sound quality was perfect too... Pontus is ofcourse, the biggest player here in why these lives seem bad... But with all the above, i think it's why he gave a great show when i saw them. They were amazing and you really honestly could not tell they were using a backing track because you were close enough to them... Even though in the videos of THAT show, you can hear the backing track but Pontus is also much more audible. Ofcourse i do remember some gaps in their singing, but unlike here, Pontus stayed in his place a majority of the time... No repositioning, and Christopher was so close to the crowd that the acts before DBA were actually jumping in with us... Which may have helped them too... They looked energetic, happy, confident and they sounded amazingly.... If you're ever going to see these guys, do it when it's a small venue, get yourself to the front, and keep it an open mind... Metal never sounds good on film, never has never will... All music actually sounds bad on phone recording due to acoustics... Basically, look up Heartbeat Failing live at The Asylum, Birmingham UK 5/5/2023. It's a great example of them on video.

Pontus rapped in Everest, yet they use playback for it and have Christopher lip syncing it.... Literally why? So now Christopher lip syncs the "scream singing" in Dreamlike and Outcome as well. As if Pontus recording stuff he can barely perform live wasnt bad enough.

They should bring Samuel Ericsson for more songs in the future!

They're not... Atleast not always... I think it comes down to several factors... Audience size and venue hardware mainly.. I went to see them in Birmingham this time last year and they were absolutely outstanding. Pontus sang well when he did, which wasn't often, but he did... and Chris dominated everything so damn well. The venue was a small and tidy one, with barely 100 people, and i think it worked very well. It was nothing like these videos.

Okay. In Break My Fall, Pontus sings himself. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's disgusting. I'm the only one who noticed that he does better when he has his back to the audience? Yes, I know he has a fear of the public. But damn... Nothing can be done about it for so many years? Pontus is a good vocalist, but he looks like a sluggish puppet compared to Chris. Still, I think that Pontus is a good businessman, songwriter, musician, but he is a poor vocalist. Judging by the trend, it is possible that Chris will one day take a place on clean vocals. If the group isn't dead by then. Although, what am I talking about... Chris also sang clean parts under the plywood. Damn it, doesn't any of the audience notice?

Saw them in London last year. It's very obvious they are using playback. Chris isn't even lip syncing to his own recorded voice. I love this bands music but this is embarrassing....

Chris as the clean vocalist? He's literally lip syncing every single clean part that he has. What they should do is hire a new clean vocalist, like the one in The Day we Left Earth for example, and let pontus focus fully on guitar and backing vocals.

Pontus isn't bad, he just isn't as good as his studio trickery makes him out to be. I knew with their new stuff there's absolutely no way he'd be able to perform it live, nor Christopher with his scream-singing stuff, Pontus tus just relies on playback and singing the lower harmonies.

He was way better back in their 2009 album, but ever since their 2017 album he just hasn’t cared. I’ve known about them and been listening to them since their 2009 album, I just don’t understand why they continue to put him on the track as the main vocals.
