How hot is the coffee?

The back end of the funky scooper is your tamper. Also, looked like you didn't cycle some water through first before making your first cup... I definitely would put some clean water through that thing before making coffee. I think I'll pick up one of these tomorrow to replace my leaking Ninja coffee maker. Thanks for the video!

These combo machines have been around for decades- had my first one in the mid 90's. And If you had read the manual, you would have found out that you need to wait for the machine to heat up, as indicated when the power light stops flashing. Would have made a much better cup of espresso.

I laughed so hard when you poured the water everywhere except the machine 🤣🤣🤣 still great video ❤️

Well, I think someone mentioned it, but the tamper is definitely on the opposite end of the spoon. You literally touched it, lol... not making fun (maybe a little). Seriously though, great review - the wife and I are looking at replacing the Keurig, and I wanted an all-in-one and this looks like one of the only real options out there, and very affordable, so of course I go to YT for reviews. Very good review, very likely will end up getting this machine. Thank you.

You have to wait until the on/ off button stops blinking that means the water is hot when it stops and then turn the 2nd button on because if you don’t wait your coffee will be water and that’s why is coming out so fast because is just water

I have the same coffee maker but I haven't been able to know if I should stop the water supply or if it stops automatically when I make the espresso.

Looks phenomenal! The only thing I'm worried about is the size. What if it takes too much space on my countertop?!

Pretty decent, not as good as the red LA specialista I'm currently using daily. Still pretty nice to have a pot of coffee option for the wife and I 😎

I am not a big coffee person, but I stumbled on here. I bought this coffee machine just because of your video.

On the " Espresso On/Off " is it suppose to flash once it's done warming up or flash immediately then stop when it's ready ? I read the manual but it's not specific, I hope my machine isn't broke that would suck. Any help would be awesome thanks !

Delonghi has this included Descaling juice And instructions included in the manual. Hope that helps

It sounds like the coffee quality is not as good as a French Press makes -- Thanks for the review!!! It helped me a lot.

I drink both coffee styles, but drip coffee is my daily driver. However having a good expresso is a good option to have from time to time. I never really owned a expresso “machine “. Only the old school types u make on a stove top lol. Since looking at machines I noticed there are some that seem very novice and others that are for the enthusiast that are well north of $1k! My question is I’m obviously a beginner but want to learn and make good coffee. This combo seems fantastic because my drip just broke and having the ability to make both styles in a nice, sleek compact machine is a no brainer. But is it worth it? Is the expresso too complex for a beginner or perhaps the opposite? Is it worthy of competing with the big dawgs. I dont want to get it and then feel like i need to upgrade to a more sophisticated machine in a few months. Thoughts? Also, great video. Informative and comical, I too am no bean head lol!!

That shot was about 45 seconds too long, (former Barista here) HOWEVER, good, objective review. I'm still trying to decide if I buy one. I have the Breville Barista Express and I love it, but I would also like to be able to make a fresh pot of coffee for guests. What are your thoughts on your machine, almost 2 years later?

How would you suggest to maximize extraction for a better espresso? I’m new to the self making coffee game, it want to “do it right, the first time” when is comes to buying machines.

You can experiment with how fine-grained the grounds are, and how much you pack down. sometimes if you pack it down too much or put too much in, the machine won’t pour. hope that helps

This is a beautiful machine however it advertises that it brews 10 cups of coffee and it does not. It barely fits 6 cups of water in the pot. So for larger crowds it’s not very big. Also the tamper is on the opposite side of the measuring spoon.

What is going on if it leaks the water on the coffee side. I put 6 cups water and it only brewed 4 and spill 2 cups.

I'm finally getting a real machine. Had stupid Tassimo forever now. I gave wife 5 options and 30 min later I get email notifications of purchase. Sweet, she just picked a delonghi combo. Main reason for watching was to see if tamper & frother cup included. Funny how u missed it on end of scoop. I'd prob do same if I hadn't seen that exact tool on a previous video. Hopefully I can figure this world of coffee & espresso out. Thanks for video.

I’ve had quite the trouble with the frother it’s constantly either gets plugged or just stops working. I’ve call the company. I’ve had 3 machines!! And they all do the same. I’m pretty sure I’m not cleaning it enough or how it should be. Do you have any advise?

yes it’s still good. It’s honestly great for fresh ground coffee and for a full pot. Plus Delonghi and Nespresso are awesome. Hope that helps

whats the showerhead like on the coffee maker? is it 1 little hole or is there numerous holes spread out to fully saturate a wide area of the coffee beans in the basket?

It's a single tiny hole, the size of a pin. I just bought this machine and set it up today. A couple things to note: 1. The tamper is included, it's the flat end of the bean scoop 2. He poured water in the top, but the tank comes out and you can fill it like once a week, depending on how much you drink 3. He mentioned that the extraction wasn't great, but I noticed he didn't wait until the light on the top button, that goes solid when it's heated. If you wait for it to be ready, the extraction is great. My wife usually drinks drip coffee and I drink cold espresso drinks, but she asked that I make a hot cappuccino for her, and it came out great!

I just realized you may not have been referring to the portafilter, which is what I described as having the tiny hole. The "shower head" that despinses water over the puck has many, many little holes that evenly distribute water. If you are talking about the drip coffee side, it's got 6 pea-sized holes with which it runs the water over the grounds.

Not sure if it helps, but the tamper is on the back of the scoop/spoon :). Not sure about the correct, size, but if you look at the scoop/spoon included with this machine its THAT size. Hope that helps,

Hi i just saw your video and your expresso came out perfect mine comes out very watery Nd the steamer doesnt work if it doesnt have water, but now when I put the water i am getting so much water in my milk it ends up all watery i feel so upset i dont know what am I doing wrong

Remember that steam IS water. The more steam you run through the more watery it will get. Maybe start with heavier milk. Like full cream or half and half.

Is there a way to turn off the espresso side without unplugging? My (week-old) COM 350 M is staying hot on the that side even when the on-off indicator light is off. The top of the unit stays very warm, over 100 degrees F, as is the metal plate underneath where the espresso filter gets attached. Is there a "standby" mode that I may have missed ? Thanks.

This model doesn't keep the coffee in the coffee pot hot. I can put my hand on the hot plate that it sits on and it doesn't hurt at all. Like a nice warm temperature. Terrible for coffee drinkers who spend this much money for hot coffee. Don't take my word for it. Look at all the reviews before buying.

Sorry, late to the party but assuming it's like any other machine with that option... Use the correct amount of coffee and only use the correct amount of water. If you fill the reservoir... It will all be brewed.

Anybody know how long it takes to brew a single cup?

The coffee side minimum is "3" cups and takes 5 minutes to heat, brew and land in the carafe. If you mean the espresso side, it takes a couple mins to heat the water via the top button then less than a minute to pull the shot. If you overload the grounds or tamp it to much then the machine cannot push the water through and it just drips, so it'll take forever.

How do I stop it from leaking ?

@@LoganDunning I removed the bottom The nozzle where the water comes out is a separate piece I added some thin spacers so the it cant rise up as much and it seems that the water now flows properly out of the hole where it comes out and its no longer seeping through the seam and going under the drip tray its been 3 days so far so good do you get water coming out when the unit is heating ( I do) I thought that water was only supposed to come out there to release pressure when you shut the unit down I have a video of it coming out I can post
