What a boring chart.

Being a 1st generation player, everything after ddr extreme... sucks ass. Music is garbage now. Step Formation is messy. You might as well play ITG.

I started playing around 2000 and you need to realize that it’s been over 20 years since the first couple DDR games, and next year Extreme turns 20...Even ITG itself is like 15 years old now. Music/taste/even the people behind the series has changed. I think there’s still lots of good content in the game for old schoolers, and it’s easier than ever to get better at the game, no longer you have to go from easy stuff straight to the leg-breakers with nothing in between like it happened pre-Extreme. It’s still good but you need to be more open minded. I DO agree that nothing will ever be again like the good old Extreme days, though.
