My cats are slowly but surely settling into the new house! However, if there’s one thing that worries me, it’s that DD keeps thinking that we still live in our old place, and wants to go back home. It’s not easy trying to explain to a cat that they’ve moved into a new place. That’s why my plan is to help recreate the things that DD loved about our old place by planting some small trees and grass in the balcony. Maybe the familiar sights will help him slowly adjust to his new environment, and he’ll come to love this place just as much as he loved our last house! He really loves the challenge of opening things, so opening doors and gates was probably a good distraction in his daily routine.

I prayed for one day Claire can had enough monet to buy her own house with big garden for her and cats family.Lets support Claire & her cats😀😀

I'm sure DD misses the garden. He never missed a chance to go outside.

Poor DD. He really loves to have his own garden. I hope that a fake one or even a makeshift one can be created in this new house.

DD definitely misses the garden, that was his favourite place. I'd suggest taking DD on trips here and there, like you've done with TT/Lulu.

Poor Nana. I hope one day we get back the warm friendly Nana that liked the ring the bell.

Our Nana is still anxious😢😢 Now I know why Prince Coco doesnt like grooming himself (thus the tangled furs) and others, he hates the smell of saliva 😂😂 Such a picky Prince 😂

The balcony if any, should be cat-proof, specially higher floors. Some cat grass or cat mint will be great. Will there be birds at your floor? And get a fake fish tank as “cat tv”. Otherwise harness him and go for a walk.

Moving is always so hard 😢. When we moved the only thing that helped my rescue cat was a calming collar (Pheromone). Maybe that will help poor Nana or your other kitties as they adjust. Maybe DD like to go on adventure outside sometime in your stroller ! I hope some day you'll be able to get a house of your own (perhaps in the country side ? ) so you can have the biggest garden ever for your kitties 😻 and you won't have to worry about moving again !

Maybe set up some treats hidden in cabinets for him to open and find? He is a curious kitty and talented at opening doors so find a way to intrigue his particular intellect. I am so sorry your kitties are having such a hard time at the change, maybe since there are so many now they aren't feeling the attention they received after your last move? Are there any Cat Psychologist's available there, maybe they could offer suggestions on your cats anxiety issues? Good luck Claire and all your kitties.

it hurts my heart to see how Nana changed from a friendly cat to timid :( still remember the video when claire taught her to do hand shake and how warm she is to others. Maybe you can try get a professional help to gain back her trust.

DD is definitely a middle aged man on the inside,,.. like missing the old place. If he could complaint he'd probably complain about how it's easier to find stuff in the old place or there's a corner that he could relax there

Oh I spoke too soon LOL. I made a comment when I saw DD looking so sad and wanting to go back to the former place. I am glad there will be a makeshift garden for the cats.

Poor little DD 😢. I think he misses his garden since he loves to go outside, and he may be a little depressed because he can’t go outside. Like some of the other commenters said, it may be a good idea to take him to a park on a leash so he can enjoy the outdoors. I wonder if NaNa swung at General because she thought that he was a threat to DoDo, and she’s a little stressed from the move. She’s usually the biggest love bug toward the other cats in the house, but she still has a motherly instinct toward DoDo.

They have you to love them, so I know they will all adjust. 😊💕
