Yeah same here man I still run hard light but man do i miss what it used to be

This is a much needed video. Surprised it’s taken so long to make it. Too much of this game is for those “in the know” leaving those out of the loop at a huge disadvantage. This video will become one of those… essential must see vids for new players going forward.

Thank you for this video, Just started playing a few weeks ago and trying to find current information about the game via guides/videos has been rough. Your build videos have been a great starting point, would love to see some more new player oriented guides (starter loadouts while leveling artifacts, etc) I really appreciate how thorough you are as well. Even if the info isn't immediately relevant to me, understanding the why of the thing can often help me figure stuff out on my own. Cheers!

@@trxnqy2557 cr and sp both pretty low atm, just started the gear grind while also working on feats for points. Power is hardlight. Wanting some good "all around" artifacts to use until i'm at the point I can start focusing them solely.

@@MrGhosty0091 if u are a main dps the 1st 3 artifacts I would get is transformation card, strategist card, eye of Gemini, then depending on what power you are when they're maxed out, scrap of the soul cloak, solar amplifier if you're might for most powers, dead king scepter(don't worry about dead kings until most of your other arts are maxed) , and maybe even quislet if you want

Just so you know the devs. Love to nerf damage and mainly sorcery powers to point you may have to change power

You need to do one on how to catch lunges/counters for tanks. That would really help the new players.

As a Fire DPS I use Stoke Flames all the time. I clip Inferno to get rid of the animation. But I also clip it with Flashpoint on adds. Since Stoke gives a damage over time and heels...you get both buffed at the same time if you're using Trans/Strat cards.

This a random question lmao but your a active dcuo KZreadr. Do you know if you can chromas more than once from capsules?

Yeoo you need to do one on actually “CONTROL RESISTANCE” because them control bombs because honestly having players win in outside world PvP… Tanks cannot shield etc!.. Like do we invest in restoration etc?

Could you please explain what you mean at 10:15 a bit more slowly? You say that I jump cancel flurry shot, then do a power, then jump cancel that. So, I hit space to jump cancel, then a power, then space again in rapid succession? Does it have to be a particular type of power, like one with a cast bar? I’m just not following.

Not really , everytime you clip it you’ll teleport , use phase dodge instead

@@inkXIV well I said sometimes cuz I dont use it off cd like left to right I meant like you can use your trinkets or ally then tp and immediately start flurry after the tp it's decent to save yourself out of an animation that might get u killed

Wouldn't clipping mess with the rotation _🤔_ (You'll just be standing around waiting for the timer reset) Or am I misunderstanding the mechanic _😅_

it shortens the rotation time clipping is just using one ability on top of another one cancelling the animation whilst still proccing the ability instead of waiting for the animation to end and hit another ability

No because majority of skills have very short cooldowns. But lets say you indeed run out of spells and all of them are on cooldown, you can still throw some weapon attacks/combos for extra damage, or dodge mechanics, or help teammates etc. Every little bit counts and if you do it consistently over the course of a raid it really adds up. Two players of equal skill, stats, gear, artifacts, both using optimal loadouts and rotations etc, one clips the other doesnt, the difference on the scoreboard will be well over 30%. Other benefits is that you can use 2, sometimes even 3 spells at the same time, heck even 4 in the case of Mental/Gadgets with Stealth, or when you're applying shields or other self/group beneficial spells which can and will save you or your teammates from dying. By shortening the animation time you also dont expose yourself to mechanics that could potentially kill you while you're animation locked. There are other smaller benefits from using clipping, but I think those are the primary ones. Lets put it this way, you can only benefit from clipping, there are literally 0 downsides to clipping, at least I haven't encountered any downsides after a decade of playing dcuo.

I am trying to understand the exact mechanics and it's still a bit confusing to me... In the first part, you showed "clipping" as "using a channeling ability to cancel the animation of original ability, then jump cancelling the channeling ability, which allows you to use another ability immediately after" With that, I assume the key is to find and use channeling ability like that Robot Summoning skill... But then later on, you use the term clipping simply referring to using a few abilities in a row NORMALLY. In that healer part, you basically just used one ability after another really fast, there was no cancelling, all three abilities fired and worked. Similarly, you didn't explain the stealth clipping. How did stealth help you clip? If you simply using Dart, stealth, then EMP, how is that "clipping"? I can literally do that randomly in combat by clicking fast. Could you explain exactly what clipping is? I think a lot of people are confusing the concept of clipping (using a cancel) vs simply using skills with long animation quickly (not waiting to admire the art).

What's the point of survival mode if all speed hackers spamming in lfg and developers not doing anything about it.....

Thank you for the content OC. I appreciate the time you put in and enjoy many of your videos. For me, clipping ruins the game, what is the point of paying designers and programers to create awesome animations that noone sees. I am only speaking for myself. If you like clipping great but for me it ruins the game. Maybe "ruined" is the wrong word. I should say less enjoyable.

Does anyone know how to do CLIPPING on ps4?

clipping abilities will just involve you hitting both buttons at once or in the case of a weapon or channel power your jump button
