the problem is that they announced a new booster bundle in the worst timing possible, had they announce literally anything else (most want double nth xp), it would be fine. They can release booster bundles whatever they want but only if we know that the game is gonna be supported for longer time. Thats the main reason why i think all of the concerns are being shared.

They announced something to sell, ignored all other news and announcements, and made mistakes that made us wonder what even was happening.

While i understand what youre saying,if they cant come out with a short letter on the forum and adressing whats been going on behind the scenes,they do deserve the hate and all the frustration. All it would take is to write a post on the forum,saying"look we hired x y z,like 3 short introduction from each then to say we are working behind the scenes and that would be it. But the new creative director has been hired in a few weeks and he cant even come to the forum to introduce himself.Beg your pardon??? The playerbase has a good reson to think big problems to come,cause the daily rewards are garbage after garbage(not even the bare minimum),there is nothing for endgame players at a certain point,no news about the new dlc(again,all it takes is a short post saying we are working on this but its still tbd so chill),no news about the ps5 update,but hey its ok cause there is a brand new tcs in the mp,go and buy it.They are quite literally doing this to themselves.Not to mention the no cummunication a MASSIVE disrespect to the playerbase,cause at the end of the day we are customers too. Honestly,what should i expect from a company who dont even want to inform me about anything??? Communication is key. And dont even get me started about the new bundle in mp,they literally selling the rock skin as new with a slight change on the head(takes 5 mins work if that),like wtf??They really do think we are morons.🤦🤷 So i agree,we need to chill with our wallet.Do not buy anything till they realise they are the problem.

I just want this game to succeed. I haven't played in a few months because the next gen update was delayed again but this game still is my fav MMO. I hope this is just the shit storm that isn't forever.

@@Keyshawn13 its gonna give better graphics, games that are ported to a newer platform don't look as good, they just look like slight enhancements of the older platform.

I think the community right now is the most chill they've ever been. Why should the players stop complaining when they have all the right reasons to do it? There's no reason to give the new developers any trust or be patient since they'll just follow the same practices as the old ones. This is the best time to demand better quality content and better changes. Unsubscribing from the membership is the best move anyone can make since there's no guarantee that things will change for the better. They'll milk the players even harder to make up for past losses.

If they remove the CLAMP then we can play everything with the characters we paid and took time to level, help others, and make more characters with different powers etc to explore and experience episodes

Unless there are major changes I can't see myself returning. Spent a lot of money in the game only to finally have enough of wasting it for nothing really. Even though there are changes with employees I don't expect much to change at all. I wouldn't expect them to communicate what's really happening within the company to the community unless you're a close friend or worker. So yeah they will be transparent with certain things or because they don't know what's happening :P

right, and even that gets boring..... Running the same alert every day for 6 months... you go crazy. DCUO has a very simple problem, and it's called content.

I think our community has been chilled enough for far too long. You said in your video that we have to chill because most of the jobs open positions had been filled and there are some new game files from next episode but that doesn´t change the fact that the same cycle of 2 episodes a year with seasonals in between its gonna be broken, the game has been stagnant without any real novelty since the Stats Revamp, the only thing they have been working on are systems like Artifacts and Allies that they can monetize and of course their version of Loot Boxes AKA Time Capsules. People want an open communication with the dev team, they want their voices to be heard, do you saw what they did with the feedback on the pricing of the St. Patricks event? those guys at DI are so tone deaf and out of touch that is baffling, and i think most of the request/suggestions are not outrageously hard to please, like bringing back SM once a year, bring back new seasons of PvP, deal with the speed hackers/cheaters/exploiters, and basically make the game work properly without the lag or bugs that we have right now. And the thing gets more worrysome once you start go into the rabbit hole of EG7 and start to understand that this game is not on the list of priorities at all, you can see on the other side off the fence the sister company Darkpaw with their ship straight and ready to sail this 2024 with a clear roadmap for Everquest while the only thing we have on DI is radio silence and a lot of unanswered questions. If people really want to see some changes being made they need to stop giving their time and money to this company if they keep doing the bare minimun, make them work and earn back your trust and money.

They should re-add the weekly rewards in pvp, per map, for the first game. They could also add some type of conversion system, so you can convert marks of legends and valor into source marks, or the latest episode currency, at a decent conversion rate so it's worth playing. That was a couple of things i thought after coming back and realizing pvp is almost entirely dead.

I'm partly part of the unrealistic expectations group. Dlcs aint getting me to hop on. Cosmetics in loot boxes are definitely keeping me away. But if see some changes I like maybe I'll check it out. Until then ima do something else

@@Shadow497 Myfault forgot to say what things would peak my interest. Totally unrealistic things would be any mention of pvp and trying figure out a new direction that doesn't require heavy development, another unrealistic thing would be changes to legends pvp, allowing for different loadout/fighting styles for each character, maybe new map modes like smite or overwatch type of game modes. For the somewhat realistic I'd like to see an increase to nth metal drops and ally experience. The grind for these has gotten better but currently its still too slow. Giving life to the 9 other weapons that lack poorly in pve, Separating the story content from the dlc grind content. A better way to do large spam feats outside of bonus weeks(legends pve). Even for bonuses allow for people to do older dlc bounties in a solo area to catch up instead of hoping for a spam group. There's a few more but I'm forgetting them, sorry If I came off smug

One thing ill say about the "next gen updated " i wouldn't consider it to be a definite thing. You realize games that have been in the works have been canceled near completion before. You think a simple updated cant be? Years in development for them to say the month it should drop that it needs more work. Unlikely. They're pushijg the goalpost so they dont tell us the truth. Its never coming.

Yeah, and just because it makes money people think like it is their own sole proprietorship. Yes, it does matter, but how much it matters to a multifaceted business relies of factors out of our area. It doesn't matter if we would be happy rolling in the DCUO DB ballpit of returns.

Every time we 4 months into a boring burnt out dlc the skeleton crew comes out. Soon as new major stuff drops game is given cpr and is back up for around 2 months. Happens like clockwork. Give it a few weeks it’ll be back

@@isthisnametaken9965 I checked the Steam player statistics and sadly (because I like the game and want to continue playing it) it is working less and less as time goes by. I would love to see this game revived but how would you do it with shrinking resources? I would increase loyalty rewards especially for paying players make mid CR progress less steep.

We complained they ignored us, cancelled bonus xp and removed items from the seasonal and all they been doing is release money grabs.. no survival mode even.. and you want people to "chill out" ? Edit: not to mention the insane lag.

the bonus xp weeks stopped when the wolfpack tokens came out, I think that was by design and they just never confirmed to us but we'll still have to wait and see. Bonus XP was a privilege not a right.

That is so untrue. They put a good chunk of money on DCUO and PlanetSide. The only reason the game is the way it is right now is because EG7, as they stated, will not add anything pertaining to major updates any kind of QoL is because it will mess with the volatility investment in the market. Thats it. If people would stop being stupid and buying dumb ass capsules etc then it wouldnt be as problematic.

Even though I don’t always agree with your takes, I do respect your opinions due to your time invested and that you deep dive into a lot of issues. I agree the community needs to chill a little. We’re in the middle of a common cyclical lull between episodes/events. But the lack of communication after such big staff changes could surely be alarming. “The sky is falling” over reaction. Anyway, thanks for continuing to support the game and sharing information.

I understand what you’re saying, I still feel like we all need to brand together. Every major player on DCUO player right now needs to get together and shoot messages on there forums. Not to attack them but to let them know “we want communication”. It’s not hard to let the community know what they got cooking in the background. Something is better than nothing. Obsidian get multiverse and use the both of your social media power to get a point across. We don’t have to be negative towards them, to let them know we want them to talk to us and let us in. Especially if we all throw tons of money in it. The game ain’t cheap lol

I think they should re-release the game as it was released originally. If that happens, they can pick and choose which content they keep for future updates and which content is scrapped. The artifacts (which make the game P2W) can be removed without such a fuss that way as well. PvP can also be retuned so it's playable again. Stats will also matter again, so people would grind skill points again. DCUO was a fantastic game before the devs/owners got greedy. I think a slew of people would reactivate their subs if they re-released the game and built upon it from there. What do you think?

You say "nothing will happen if you don't protest" but your logic is to quit. That's not a protest, that's quitting. The game is and has been in the same kind of state of complacency for years. People quit and come back. Employees quit and get fired. This is DCUO as it has almost always been. People "protesting" is what made the game what it is today. Just let the people who make the game, make the game.

We need more than two dlcs a year and the same damn seasonal events every year. We should be getting a new dlc every two months straight up.

I just started playing again so I don’t mind a little time to catch up. I like the game. It’s never been perfect, but I think it’s pretty decent and is like to see it keep going!

They need to look into the server lag issues asap. The game becomes unplayable during spikes , especially when you're trying to raid. Been pretty frustrating for everyone i know for about a month now.

Man it’s gone be tough asking people to chill, especially when people fork out the amount of cash that they do, And not mention the over doing of refurbishing outfits..

That's the non finished content the layed off developers were working on. There's no team working on completing it. There is one new person in charge of gathering a team and he needs approval for every decision or person he picks. The formula that they being using will continue, tc, bb, resurgs, copy paste environment, same mechs, untill license expires.

I think this is your worst take ever, but in my opinion the game has been in a rough patch for over 3-5 years. Yet it’s only being talked about now. The game needs a complete new update that makes it into a new game less arts less money required tbh better community.

@@ObsidianChill that is valid, however DCUO is getting massed by games that literally have been out for almost the same amount of time if not more. I think what DCUO needs to do is take more of a position like Hell Divers 2 and have the DCUO compete as a whole community against a single objective. Rather than just from place to place. If they honestly do this the game would be soooo much better.

Our community has a hard time working together right now. Everyone has a hard time accepting the different style of players of this game, such as the competitive players, role players, cosplayer, base crafter, auction/market players, feat hunters, etc.... Everyone should realize that ever style of play is important to community and work together to get the company to hear our voices. However, we bicker among ourselves and often are seen as a toxic community. The company needs to do what any paying customer wants....at a minimum.... communication about what they are paying for. While this video is nice as always, it still tells us nothing about the future of the game for 2024 from the company and now it is time for the customer to decide what action if any they want to do with their money.

I just want to see......something new in the game! I don't know exactly what, but just......something! For months now I've just logged in, done my dailies and logged back out. I can't remember the last time I did a duo, alert or raid. I just don't see the point. They utterly bore me, and (at least on the EU side) they can take hours to pop too. I just don't want to wait over an hour to get into a long, boring raid that basically only pays out 10 currency! I'd rather just wait for double or triple currency weeks and do the weekly open world bosses to catch my characters up! I've got a full set of gear and finished the OP item on 2 two characters, _just_ from doing the open world dailies for 5 minutes a day throughout this whole episode! I did the duo, alert and raid ONCE, just get the OP item, but then never touched them again. Here's the thing though, even if they do bring out a new episode soon, it'll still just be the same old shit, just in a different area. Same old grind for currency, same old grind for the OP item. It's just so dull! It'll just end up the same way for me - i.e, me logging in to do my dailies, then logging out again. Like, I know the bounty farming episodes (like Wonderverse and Legion) weren't well liked by the community (well, mostly the forum 'clout chasers'), but at least it was something a bit different, something to actually do! At least those episodes gave me a reason to stick around and play the game for more than 5 minutes a day! And honestly, I actually have some fond memories from those episodes. Like fighting Murk down on the beach in Themyscira, the epic-ness of the Validus fight, the 'togetherness' and sense of community with so many people hanging around in those maps all day. I miss those times!

Man I reinstalled this game like 3 times this week saying that this will be the time I start playing again since I quit in like 2020. And I just can't convince myself to actually start playing. Buying all the artifacts and having to buy the allies now. This game is really difficult to pick up once you left it.

When is the last time we seen double artifact XP and tbh I haven’t been playing DC I been on helldivers need a break from dc

imo they're just trying to earn as much money as possible while they still can... no nth on Black Friday when people had planned to spend a little on the game but as luck would have it, a disgusting material instead. Pushing players to buy (the previous) booster pack by 10 or 20? on a dying game? and what about the wolfpack token which, apart from getting even more dps in the game, still arrives a little late. If only they could have as many content involvement as the cash grab part, the game would actually be a decent game again. Sry but i think im out for good. Used to be a really good game back in the days.

I took a 3 year break (around advance mechanics era) before artifacts were introduced. I got bored just login real quick do dailies. Now I’m catching up on old feats so the game keeps me busy. They can take their time but what’s up with the lag???

i really like dc but i honestly cant really play it anymore. the sp system is so annoying and farming in beyond tedious. if i was caught up i wouldnt think that but its so hard to get caught up and it doesnt feel fun. especially when i have to run the same mission 10+ times because the enemy i need wont spawn.

I miss when pvp was fun, and running 8v8 with league members also 5v5 was great times.

Old players will consume any new content or money making scheme that they put out and they are not worry about that. They need more players so the new innitiatives will be marketing and making the game easier for new players so the looking forward thing will be for new players.

Yes come back. If you liked the game and you haven't been playing in a few years you'll have content to play and the community is still active. Small but still active.

I’ve been gone for a little over a year now can anyone fill me in on how the game is doing rn and why mepps left? Is it worth coming back to a game that doesn’t listen to the community?

When you step back and look at it all in the grand picture, you will notice why it seems the game is "dying". There has been several major shifts. The game was bought by another company. Employees in high level positions have left or been fired. During all of these changes, the prohects that have been worked on were basically put on hold. Now we have new people with new ideas, and those have to be developed. Patience people.

But The booster bundle isn’t in the test server

Sometimes I really miss this game. But for the last few years the only thing that kept me coming back was the friends we were playing with. But everyone moved on and there is literally nothing left pulling me in. I try to log in every other month but get bored after one raid and bounce. I’m now 3 episodes behind when I used to be maxed out every episode. It is kind of sad thinking about all the great times in this game. And it sucks knowing I have like 12bill in cash plus another 15bill in items and resources sitting there doing nothing lol

I hope this game has a major comeback.

The devs don't care about the players and they have never cared about us to begin with.

I personally think, with such an amount of changes at the same time, we'll get the results of the work of the new team only in few months.

I hope so they've been at it since January and it's March now. With next episode maybe dropping in April that's 4 months.

I still log in the game once in a while but honestly I can’t even last more than 10 minutes connected to this clown show. Everything it’s broken and from what I’ve seen is been like that for weeks…the lag is crazy, the allies screen is still broken etc. How can players expect anything big to the game when they can’t even fix the small things? The game is running on fumes right now and playing this game on a day to day basis in 2024 it’s crazy when there’s so many good options out there. I personally know people who are putting more than 5-6hrs each day playing this game, how can they do it with the state the game is in?

As someone who used to grind this game on the PS3 and PS4 and now plays extremely casual on PC - this really sounds like a KZreadr making some crazy excuses from grown adults who're offering a service but are borderline non existent. You've mentioned there's no excuse to be slient and then you follow it up immediately with a "but" - you lost me.

Well said....also just to add...Eliite plus/ deviating from regular elite is what ruined this game...causing a divide within the community amongst people who just enjoyed the game and getting sp for people who speedhack and spend thousands on the game. Nothing was wrong with regular elite.

The issue here is, it’s been nearly 10 months since the last double artifacts, new episodes, and years since the last survival mode. The game cannot sustain the player base off of scam, capsules, booster bundles, and seasonal’s. THATS why it’s largely considered a dead game.

maybe they should add new moves and stuff. and have them decrease the time it takes to reach max level in everythinig. make cool animations moves to be powerful or something.

the game needs some kind of stat revamp, or even get back to a older fighting style, just to make the game interesting again, or exciting to explore having either the same powers at the top, or everyone playing precision doesnt cut it and makes it boring as hell.

I feel like if they would give better special week and if content of bundle was actually good ,not full of recycled mats, peoples would just enjoy showing off new styles etc for some weeks other than freak out for no reason they just have nothing to do.Example give a large emblem chest inside bundle and peoples would shut up saying this is the best bundle ever
