Thanks for the mention! -- Just to clarify, the provided assets have a strong connection with NATO and, based on the colors of the provided liveries, they can well represent different eras: yellows for the 60s/70s; greens for the 80s and 90s; and grays as currently used by the USAF. Additionally, elements like the fire extinguishers also represent different periods. I will continue adding more objects to the mod, and some of them might be included again in the DCS core in the future.

Really love the ED decision to include the assets from Massun92. Being a small team I'm sure that using their manpower to develop core engine systems, terrain, airframes and everything else already in their production cue this is a smart move.

Thanks, interesting as usual. I like the condensed info from different publications. Regarding ATC, I just bought Beyond ATC for MSFS and it is anazing. I would like to have something similar for DCS in real MIL ATC languages. Well as a retired MIL ATC controller I have a hang for ATC :-)

It is worth noting that the OH-58D was not a "testbed" for the AH-64 as has been claimed recently elsewhere, any more than the UH-1 was a testbed for the CH-47. The AH-64 production was already underway when the prototype of the OH-58D began flying. The OH-58D indeed pioneered the use of the "glass cockpit" in the US Army, which benefited other airframes (AH-64, UH-60, CH-47) during follow-on upgrades later on, but the development paths of the 64 and 58 were distinctly different. The OH-58D did not even start getting weapons like the Hellfire missile or 2.75" rockets until the late 80's/early 90's, long after the AH-64A had been using them, so there was no inheritance there either. The AH-64D has more inheritance from the F-15E than it does from the OH-58D. As for the datalink question, it is not a matter of getting two dev teams to collaborate, but rather that the AH-64D's primary datalink featured in DCS is not used by the OH-58D.

The F-5E also needs a Navigation mode where you put 3-4 way points in on the mission editor map and it will show a heading on your compass. 🧭 similar to the SU-25.
