11:30 this is the reason why Tomcat is the greatest "module" in DCS. I have friends that feels less human than Jester

The Tomcat is just such an amazingly capable bomber, with LANTIRN, Jester and GBU, and also just with dumb bombs and there so little impact on speed and range. It is probably one of the fastest ways to get 2x2000lbs and 2x1000lbs GBUs over a long distance.

Jester AI is such an awesome piece of software! Happy times for flightsimmers.

You do the best tutorials by far because you include all the things you need in order to actually drop bombs.

When I finally found out about Jester being able to use map markers it was both a huge relief and slap in the face. I had been using QHUD for so damn long...

The LANTIRN is actually a bit borked in the current update. Totally overexposed/washed out to the point that it can't be compensated for with VDI brightness/contrast controls. Not very usable without jester.

I somewhat agree but with a 1440p monitor and adjusting the gamma a bit or playing with the settings a little you can get a pretty decent picture out of it. Believe they are trying to recreate the green glow a little too much from.the type of TV set it uses.

Something that, for me anyway, enhances the experience of learning this beast is watching "Speed and Angels", the fantastic documentary about the last 2 USN pilots trained for the F-14. Oh..... I got "fired" as grip on video crew at a Navy vs Virginia football game in Annapolis....... the camera op had me watch for the pair of F-14's single-pass flyover while he was setting up. I asked, "Want me to get tripod and cables and monitor ready???" He barked, "NO, just watch for those planes!!!!!!!". Ohhhh-kay... they'll fly over that tree line to the east. From where I am, that's about 15 degrees elevation before even visible, then visible for about 3-4 seconds and GONE..... woops well, NOW they're gone til NEXT year!!!!!!!! :) :) That quick :) The camera wasn't even out of the case yet.

No need to put the wings in bomb mode when dropping LGBs with the pod. Putting the wings in bomb mode is a good idea when dropping dumb bombs in a dive with CCIP. When you are dropping in a dive with ccip it is helpful to have the wings not moving in order to be more stable. When dropping LGBs from altitude you just need to be lined up on the lantirn's steering cue, you can leave the wings in auto.

This was a very helpful and easy to follow video epically for newbies. I love the F-14 and now I can drop LG Bombs. When I get the jester command to drop, I drop. The target pods stays lined up and Jester Say "Good Hit" but here is the problem I'm having. The bomb always misses by exactly the same margin every time. Any others have this problem? Thanks. The instruction in this video are spot on. Great examples to learn here. But Jester saying "Good Hit" and the bomb missing by the same margin every time has to some sort of glitch.

How did you stop following that GBU-24 at the end of its fall?

how did you turn off the pilot model? I've flown on a server that has the pilot in constant view and I could never seen the panels.

I'm having an issue where even though I follow the steps as outlined in the video, Jester tells me "valid laser ranging" but then I never get steering cues (e.g. turn left/right x degrees) or time to release info, which means I'm not able to release my ordnance. I've checked master arm on. He works fine when I have him look for targets but it never works when I try to have him designate a static object. Any help would be appreciated!

Guys, i dont know, i followed every guide, every video, but this plane is just horrible, all my bombs miss, all my phoenixes miss im starting to think i have been ripped off because i havent had a single good flying moment with the f-14 and im very sad about it.

Im just having a lot of trouble with the Paveways, maybe it has been altered in a new update, but my bombs seem to go completely off target, even with my plane leveled and my bomb on-target, i still miss and it goes AWOL (which also happens to me with the phoenix but anyway) maybe you can tell me whats wrong, i really dont want to be a burden on your time though.

Not a big fan of american planes but gotta admit the F-14 is beautiful, but however inferior in a MiG-29 in dogfight

Ya know, I don't play DCS, and I don't understand about 80% of what u saying, but I still really enjoy ur videos. There's just something about them that I find entertaining. Oh, and is this the A or B variant? I can't really tell the visual difference between the two.

Judging from the skins, it's most likely the A variant. One way to tell between the F-14A and B from outside is the engines. F-14Bs and Ds have silver engine nozzles/petals while F-14As have black ones.
