@@kon1351 It was working for like one patch and then they changed something again and my tracks rarely work so that's why there's not so many external shots when i do multiplayer stuff at the moment.

They need to make Jester modular, so that he's somewhat interchangeable. Would be really sad, if the later Aircraft get more powerful "Copilot" Features.

Although not perfect, I believe he was calling out the bandit that was already shot down but still falling out of the sky.

Once you see how these aircraft were actually operated and how much skill and practice it took to operate the weapon systems and stay within optimal parameters you finally understand just how much training and flight hours it takes for someone to become skilled at operating one of these things.

Must have video - well done… I hope this translate to the 14 , focus, cycling targets, etc would all be great

Nice! 😎👍 Such an improvement from F14. Btw, I was surprised that the sight ring (or whatever its called) in the hud, does not move where the bandit is locked, giving some kind of visual queue, where the radar is looking and tracking. Interesting logic back in 60s.

Fun video, especially for those who made it. At the instruction level it is zero: what commands are used? Where are they in the joystick or throttle assignment table? How is it suggested to assign them once they have been identified among the many commands in the table?

Hi Tricker, so excited about the new F-4 module I’ve just installed it and began learning all the systems, haven’t left the ground yet though. Just a quick question the header menu wheel on my system seems quite large and down to the bottom left of my screen with the bottom section off the screen completely, on yours I see that it is in the centre of your screen, any advice as to what I need to do to rectify ? great content you are doing for the F-4E all very helpful thank you 👍

Their already doing this. It's called Jester 2.0 which will take awhile but it's coming to the Tomcat.

When I try and do the BVR scan, jester just keeps saying I can't do that. I have radar on, master arm on, cw switch on, not sure why because he will lock a target but not scan

what is the keybind for the jest wheel? I ran the cold start tutorial today (in VR) and was able to bring it up and tell ground crew to turn on external power, but I cannot drop the jester wheel after that for some reason. IDK if it's a bug. I have same setup in F14 using jester wheel and have no issues there, so I am thinking I don't have something set up right.

How you quickly drop tanks? at min 3:13 What those gates mean?? at min 3:16 And why tapping the aerial refueling button at the end? min 6:17 Thanks!

i dont know what im doing wrong at around 12000ft i cant get anything on radar until ~5miles within visual range, no matter what i tell jester to do i cant get anything on radar. (my mission is set that 2 migs arouind same altitude coming straight at us)

Now only if we get jester 2.0 in the f14

I am having so many issues with Jester's context button. He just refuses to do anything most of the time and will only focus and lock targets once they are too close to fire on.

Hope they improve F14 textures as well

I find jester not very talkative. Is there more chatting depending on the context or is it only when you issue a command / when bogeys appear on the screen? Like I remember watching F14 videos where jester was talking when you fly too low, when you fail a carrier landing, when you do loopings, etc. Haven't seen that on the F4 yet.

I’m working the next few days unfortunately. Aerial refueling button is used to uncage the sidewinder, hold it down to uncage. NWS you need to press and hold when wanting to turn on the ground

The real question is, will the F-14 have this as of tomorrow?

It’s called the pinky switch on the throttle to change between weapons

Thanks Tricker! I'm trying to follow your instruction, but whenever I arm the master switch, the radar indicator turns off. The pinky switch won't bring it back. My WSO is good and locked and I have the "shoot" indicator, but no go on radar mode. What am I missing? Thanks in advance!

That context button would be so awesome to have in the Tomcat too. Big step up in functionality Edit: On that last kill, why do you have to press the AAR button before the trigger?

@@XCougar85X you hold the aerial refueling button to keep the sidewinder uncaged. Also you use the aerial refueling button to move the seeker head of a maverick. Pretty interesting really

Does Jester do a IFF check before locking?

Don’t know if there’s a difference between the preview build and the live release but the Jester context button long press doesn’t work for me.

This is what online manual says: For air-to-air usage, the optical sight should be selected to A/A mode. In air-to-air mode, the optical sight functions as a lead computing optical sighting (LCOS), thus maneuvering in both elevation and azimuth relative to a radar locked target, or a default 1000' range setting in the event of no lock.

F14 jester is awful. Maybe this module would be usable.
