@@ReflectedSimulations I agree - except every time I do this I become decently proficient by the end of the campaign and think "man I bet that would have been more fun now that I actually know how to use this thing instead of spending 1/2 the mission worried about engine management!" lol

GREAT idea. I've got all the Campigns and all the planes apart from the Sabre and it's campiagn. I'm up for it even though I haven't even started any of 'em yet!!

I recently read Tumult in the Clouds by James Goodson and had the same idea, so that's the plan!

One of my favorite books!

I like the Idea, and loved the spit challenge with its about 40+ missions. But there were 2to3 missions that were veeeery tough to survive, the one going over to cherbourg, ih my god. But loved it

I’m sure that matches the experience of real life pilots. Some milk runs and boredom and then sheer terror. In the world of sims we got used to ‘balanced’ and ‘fun’ missions that are not boring but not too hard, but in real life it wasn’t like that.

What a fantastic concept! I I love it!!!

Speaking with heat blur, asking them where is the USN assets for world war II. Also, the corsair to A7 following with the a6 intruder and a USN Hilo such as the Seahawk for the rotor head is a full tilt as in army helos do not have a tilt rotor head. A full tilt rotor head has much more torque in much more speed. Same as the sea king and the sea dragon. I believe you're following the motto here. I'm ready to dive into a WW2 when they come up with the USN assets for world war II, especially for the Corsair that was also involved in Korea. I would really like to see the storyline in Europe for the European theater from Normandy to the end even if it's in stages. Also, I would like to see once they come out with USN assets for world war II the same for Japan. Now that would be something. I have the saber but as far as US assets all they have is the p51 and the jug. I really like your campaigns. I just feel as an old USN rotor head that to follow the standard protocols of world war II and including them in your campaigns. Even for the UK and the spitfires. The response I got from DCS was well received. You can count me in. I would just like to see some USN assets with the Enterprise etc etc. I know you cannot create one yet without it having the assets. Including Normandy and the big bluff of general Patton in the Sea of Cale. I'm sure that spelled wrong but you get the gist of it. Thank you for all of your hard work in your campaigns. That’s a good point you made I watch a interview of a p-47 pilot from the usaaf and 1944-1945 it wasn’t as one sided as everyone or some history channel make it to be, he went over a lot of if squadron losses. The odd of survival for one mission were fairly good but it’s that one time where everything went to shit that you needed to respect the fact that you go jumped and jettison the ordnance Dive and you keep that throttle against the firewall with the water injection until your empty or over the channel

Excellent! I already have Beware Beware! done, and Hunter over the Yalu couple years ago. I will start again and try my luck.

P51 is the meat and potato

Fun fact I decided to do fw-190 horrido with this in mind Mission 3 as cautious as one can be since the begining managing a 12 ship ground attack fast in fast out 40mm I never saw, right trough the engine block during the egress POW time 😂

I'd fancy my chances in the F86 and maybe the Spitfire. Haven't got wolfpack yet (but i do own the 47}, but if my experience in Debden Eagles is anything to go by then i reckon a I'd last a few missions before being shot down and captured.

We all need to play things a lot safer than we usually do in sims. That refly button encourages us to make bad decisions haha

Love the idea of moving through history with your campaigns. Wolfpack was the first of your campaigns I played, but I had to play some mission more then once. After V for Victory and BNBB. I‘m now on Mission 8 of Beware Beware and have no deaths so far, so maybe after that a Wolfpack replay is what is needed, to continue the challange. I miss flying the P47 anyway:D Since you mentioned the F15E, do you plan to make a campaign for it someday, or is it a fighter you‘re not that interested in?

I’m quite an analog guy, somehow the F-15 never really interested me. The Viper is the only “modern” that I’ve grown to like. I can’t wait for the Phantom though.

@@ReflectedSimulations Damn too bad. I always loved the F15E, because in my opinion it is the perfect combination of modern tech with the insane speed, range, and payload of older generation jets. But since I get campaigns of every other plane I like from you, I sure as hell can‘t complain:D Looking forward massively to your F4E and F4U campaigns.

I definitely can't do that with my current skills. I've played most of these campaigns, and I would probably be getting at least one kill/capture per campaign even with conservative flying. I wonder how much of a difference to IRL there is due to DCS shortcomings, such as: AAA too accurate, enemy air AI omniscient and sometimes UFO (Mig-15), friendly AI limitation and no comms/cooperation with them.

OK, but you should eventually do F-4E (Vietnam) and F-15E (Iraq) campaigns down the road so that we can keep the 4th virtual historical tour going!

I can't barely finish alive the 2nd bluenose bastards mission ! I prepare everything, struggling to fly in formación about 30 minutes and then an enemy just hits my engine right away 😢. No way I'm surviving a whole war hehehe. I'm waiting for that 'save' option to come. 😂

Meanwhile I lost the Luftwaffe at least 20 fighters in Horrido, half of them on takeoff 😢😂

No you can’t. Only in the P-47 campaign. But why would you want to fly a P-47 in a timeframe when the 4th flew something else?

I am currently flying through Beware Beware for the second time but this one with one life, I am on mission 10 with 10 kills no deaths but one bail out. Reflected, do you know when the changes to The Big Show with the new Normandy 2 will be complete?

That's about as far as I got with my one virtual life when I attempted the challenge :) The Big Show will be finalized as soon as Ugra media makes Biggin Hill useable with more than 6 parking spots.
