OK, You twisted the 2 black wires together with the resistor that go to the frog input, what happened to the 2 red wires from the LED's? Does one go into a DCC power slot, and the other into the other DCC power slot. I just cant tell from the video, it also looked like there was another black and red wire twisted together. I assume it was a power wire and a LED wire going into the DCC power slot? Thanks so much.

it does show you clearly in the video i have just watched it back myself. the two black led wires with resistor go to the frog port then one red goes with the red dcc bus wire port and the other red goes to the black dcc bus wire port. hope this helps. peter

Hi Peter, I don't normally comment on your videos, but I Have followed your channel since we met at Warley last year at the youtube meet. I think this video is outstanding! brilliant tutorial on the Cobalts which will help many others still getting their feet wet in DCC as it is still a darkart to many modellers. All the best Tony.

What do you do if you need a frog wire for polarity on the point? - Ad to same slot (3) as your resistor? Thank you for the videos

hi carsten the answer to the question is yes the frog wire for electro frog points would go in port 3 and yes you can run both the negative wire and polarity change from port 3 at the same time. peter

I'm trying to do this from memory but I think it's the three wire slots after the doc inputs as that's how I used to use it for my led light panel to show me what way the points are facing but make sure you use the correct resistors. Hope this helps Peter

Hi Peter, Thanks for the video. It was really very informative. Please can you advise me on the maximum thickness of the baseboard that I can have to allow the fulcrum to function properly?. My baseboard will have a 3mm plywood and a 20mm foamboard on top of that... and a 3mm thick cork on which the tracks will sit on. Will the wire / rod be long enough to reach the point?

Hi The answer to your question is with the depth of all your products your using the wire might not reach the point so you might want to rethink the sixe of foam board. As I used 18mm board with track layed straight to and there was only a few millimeters left to cut off but try and see if it will reach. All the best hope it helps. Peter

@@chelmswoodjunction I did wonder about that. My previous layout had an 18mm baseboard and just like you mentioned, I just had to clip off a few mm. I'll have to consider halving the thickness of my foam board. Thanks for your prompt reply and help.

@@chelmswoodjunction hi Peter thanks for info I did not realise voltage was that low. I want the indication as you have with led’s but using the DCC concepts levers so trying to work all that out. Wonder if I do same thing with Dapol semaphore signals which do have a higher voltage.

Did you know that you don't need to enter in the address every time? after selecting the point motor and throwing, you can just click the select accy button and it will flip the point motor the other way
