Multiverse is a lot more my speed with the more detailed sculpting and additional articulation.

Here’s where I struggle with McFarlane’s DC Multiverse. Let’s look at four figures: The Great (Alan Scott), the Good (Silver Age Green Lantern), the Mid (Silver Age Atom), and the Bad (Rebirth Supergirl) Alan Scott is a magnificent representation of the character with fully sculpted (and accurate) costume details. This is easily my favorite McFarlane figure. The Silver Age Green Lantern is on the Blue Beetle buck, but aside from those #@!$ “double boot tops”, the re-use works fine. This is easily my favorite Hal Jordan Green Lantern figure. The Silver Age Atom is also on the Blue Beetle buck, but now, the boot and glove tops are completely inaccurate (they should be pointed) and we have a very lazy looking painted on belt. I wouldn’t call the reuse egregious, but it’s not good either. I preordered it, but I am a little disappointed. Rebirth Supergirl is on the Knightfall Catwoman buck, and in this case, the reuse is egregious. The sculpted details are completely inaccurate for Supergirl. Selling me a Kara Zor-El figure should be easier than selling Homer Simpson a doughnut, but I had to pass, even at $10.99. Bones did a beautiful custom version that mitigated a lot of these issues, but I’m not a customizer. I completely agree that if you put McFarlane’s best effort against Mattel’s best effort, it’s a landslide victory for McFarlane. My problem is that we don’t always get McFarlane’s best effort. I feel like we always got Mattel’s best effort, at least until the DCUC line ended at retail and the (underfunded) annual subscriptions began. Look, I’m not a hater. I have some McFarlane DC Multiverse figures that I absolutely love, but we all have our own pet peeves, and one of my big ones when it comes to an action figure line is inconsistency.

Ya ... I think the main thing is the line still has to sell to regular consumers... This means that value and general " Cool" factor are more important in the long run.... Collectors will still get what they want but some details are always gonna be off... It's just the reality of a mass market line...but we'll get there..🤞👍💀

DC Universe Classics was a good line in the day, especially with character selection, but McFarlane's DC Multiverse blows them out of the water in every possible way with sculpts, design, articulation, etc. McFarlane's character selection is greatly improving as well, even giving us characters that DC Universe Classics never attempted.

I never had the classics line so can’t say for myself but I do like thigh cut on figures. I don’t mind if 6 or 7 inch.
