I sure wasn't. If I wanted any DC figures, I got them from DC Collectibles..which was pretty much only BTAS figures. Then again, I used to buy a lot of Mattel DC stuff. They were really great at one point. But yeah, so damn glad Mattel lost the license.

The thing about DC Collectibles is they know how to make proper articulation but keeps it very random. The later wave of DC Icons were awesome

When I see you review action figures with flaws . I miss. Kenner now they had QUALITY CONTROL ON EVERY TOY THEY MADE . THANKS FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO 😊.

It seems like that Poison Ivy figure ended up being where the makers just kinda gave up once they knew Mattel was losing the license.

Brad The DC Universe Geek I’ve considered Batman & Joker since they’re kinda sorta “Batman ‘89”, but for now, they’re towards the bottom of the list.

Been out for awhile, but I finally got the Poison Ivy. I had passed on her because I had the Hush version. But, this is more like the original costume so I finally broke down and bought it. Happy it's not outrageous like some figures. And what does she need with a crossbow? She can animate trees! She could be a Superman villain with her power set.

I laughed so hard at the trigger warning I read the comment & answer from yesterday that caused the warning & I agree with you your figs your rules on opening the packaging.

The other three vines came out just fine from behind the plastic tie. The last one was thinner in that spot and ripped with very little force. I wasn't upset about it. I was just telling everyone why it's going to be shorter for the rest of the video rather than need to answer the question in the comments.

Riddler may be coming down the late a little late but coming more likely, if you see the shot fo the bar codes, they have 463, 464 and 466, missing is 465, more like for Riddler

I sure do hope he comes out. That figure looks like one of the best in the wave.

I just picked up Batman and Poison Ivy yesterday and started filming my review... I'll spoil some of my thoughts and maybe drop a bit of knowledge that maybe you did not know. I do kinda like Ivy, i don't have an Ivy for my Mattel set up, so she was a must buy just for that reason (i don't mix different lines.... I'm crazy like that haha). while i do agree with most of your thoughts on her, i don't think shes bad either and i do quite like her. Did you also know that while Batman the Joker are homages to Toy Biz, Poison Ivy is an homage to Kenner's Batman the Animated Series Poison Ivy figure? Hence the cross bow, and colors. I think these three were a last minute decision to put out, so I'm grateful they are here. Its hard for me to compare to things like NECA, or Mayfx when i know Mattel isn't that. Sure there was a Glory Day for Mattel, but this is now and for a lot of us collectors Mattel got us where we are as KZreadrs. I really feel with the Killer Croc wave it will be a good send off, these well, for me as a collector and having the original figures they are based off make me smile... and at the end that's all i really need. are the greatest... no. Do i like them and will i proudly display them... yeah. Great video my friend.

Thank you. 🙂 I appreciate your thoughts on these figures. I realised that the Ivy was likely a throwback the BTAS but I never collected them. I watched every episode of the show but just never got the figures. I was just so not impressed with her that I didn't have that much to say about her. You are obviously very passionate too and that's great to see. I hope your review does well and gets plenty of views. 🙂

These DC figures continue to disappoint. The sculpt and articulation/proportions, etc. are just head scratching. Thanks for the review!

Excellent review thank you! I think the recent multiverse waves have been outstanding up until this point unfortunately I'll have to pass on these with the exception of the Joker, Alfred and red hood which is a shame, I think Mattel should have taken a similar route to 80th Marvel legends such as improved paint and detailing on classic characters .

Love this figs !!! I really dig the fact that they are re-doing old dc figs from past movies or t.v shows. Now where is my superman man of steel redos I want a 6 inch super articulated power flight Superman

Just got the Joker today from Target definitely looks good. Also Brad you should put the cane that came with this Joker figure with the Mezco Joker's hand since I think it'll look great with it

Gotta say I haven’t collected much multiverse figures since the blue boxes hit shelves but I have to say I had to buy that joker and I have thoughts on buying Batman.Great review man

@@Chalor. Cards are useless to me... and that's neither here nor there...I am personally shocked though at how bad you rate these serviceable figures when there's no alternative atvthis point. Maybe DCC's current 7 inch line but its not even in that superhero standard 6 inch scale. I must be missing something other than "OMG at the 19 dollar price point, these Multiverses are like poison, and I'm glad they're gone!"

Awesome review as always. I can really sense the disappointment in your voice, Brad. Mattel has given up after it lost the license. I don't have the DC Signature Collection Poison Ivy so I might pick this one up despite the ugly headsculpt. Batman is an easy pass. The Joker one is a surprise. I'm looking to get him then do a head swap and put the DCUC Joker on it. I've seen some folks do it somewhere and it really looks good. Looking forward to your review on the Killer Croc wave. Thanks! Another head that works (if you want a modern contemporary looking Joker) is also the Endgame Joker head. It looks pretty good on the shoulders too. You heard right, I was a little disappointed. I'm really trying to get my hands on the Killer Croc wave. It's a tough one to find. Excellent line up of characters though.

Good review honest but not brutal. I remember making my mom drive me to 7 different stores for that Movie Batman. This Batman looks like an anagram of both 🎥 and DCUC. Will be be replacing 🃏' s face with Jim Lee inspired or Dcuc 🃏s.

I want that Batman for a Morrison JLA stand in!

Great video and I agree with you one hundred percent. I wish that they made Batman cape large and wide, Joker is the best and I don't have any comment about Poison Ivy because they need to redo her, but keep up with your great videos!!

Poison Ivy with completely different greens than the prototype pisses me off to no end and I don't know why

I finally ordered Poison Ivy on eBay yesterday, and can't wait to get it and do my next review on her and have Harley Quinn in it with alongside with Ivy.

I think it would. I've got a different head on there now with a cape swap and it works so much better. The ball peg is pretty big though so I had to remove mine.

Brad, completely agree with you on all points. I'm particularly fixated on the Batman, though. I get that it is a Toy Biz throwback but honestly, I don't feel it should even exist if they aren't going to use Keaton's likeness. (I know Mezco owns it now.) Aside from the awful head, it's that back hanging Cape that bugs me. It looks stylish from afar but up close just bizarre choices in some places. Just drape it over the shoulders and stop being cheap! The black DCUC '89-inspired Batman works much better than this. It was a classic Bats with movie colors. This one is a contradiction of trying to be and not to be movie accurate. The Toy Biz did its best to be accurate for its time but it was a different world, toy market and there were limitations. So it is ironic Toy Biz tried to be accurate and Multiverse is trying not to fully be by imitating Toy Biz. It's nice to see an articulated '89 Bats but yet again this happens to be the ONE costume famous for its lack of flexibility 🤣. No interest in Poison Ivy at all; would've preferred something not based on a cartoon. As for the Joker, definitely the best figure. However, I really don't see much different with him that we haven't gotten before, even with the DCUC version.

If I had to pick just one it would be the Joker. That's the one I really like.

I am hoping to find these in Vancouver. But seems like for some reason Mattel's DC stuff only hits Ontario and then some time later, the rest of Canada.

you know, since you're obviously going to get it, anyway, do you think you can compare Alfred to that NECA Keaton Batman when it comes in? Just since it's got the Burton films head as one of the optional heads. Don't have to, obviously, but it'd be nice.

I planned on it. I might forget in the moment because I'm scatter brained but it will at least be in on of the ending stills of the video.

I have two of these, the "bootleg" I got straight from Taiwan actually looks better than the one I got CIB. The cape is not a dust magnet and his thighs are a solid color.

Do we think that Joker would go in my DCUC display? The actual DCUC one goes for quite a large sum, IIRC, whereas this one is in a very similar style but is obviously still available at retail price.

He's a tad taller than a DCUC but it can work especially if you lose them up first.

I might get that Ivy, given i don't have a figure of her yet. The Batman isn't doing it for me, but I can see the fun of it. Joker's very Joker-tastic, but he's also someone who I doubt i'd have to wait any length of time for McFarlane to do, so I am not in a hurry, since if I get that, they might put one out, you know?

I bet McFarlane will do Joker too. I tend to Hoover up all kinds of DC figures from all lines so I'll get him also. I get that done people are more choosy though and only want one or maybe 2 of the same character though. I'm really excited for what McFarlane does.

I went to 5 Targets today and I didn't find any of these figures 😔

When I first saw the movie Batman, I thought it was just a repaint of the old Super Powers collection.

I want this wave just because I don’t have a pure black Batman apart from the... Dark Night rises movie master one... and I’m not very fond of that particular Batman depiction.... The other two because I need more villains haha

please please please compare him with the DC icons Batman, the first one, the blue one....he's like my favorite Batman figure and favorite size and matches up with the Power Ranger figuarts so it's nice to see how any new figure sizes up with them before i buy, because these look awesome!

I have this joker but is broke. And know I just put the head on a new mcfarlane newest joker figure. The one with cut off joker face. That comes this year out!

Please review the killer croc wave

How easy is it to take off the head on Joker? I'm considering making an 89 Joker head for it and possibly duplicating it.

Batman Body + Arkham City head.

Joker is the only figure worth getting along with Alfred. The rest is a pass for me.

Snagged Alfred at Walmart today. They had the whole wave.

The now that comes with Huntress is a different sculpt. It would have been better if that was the one she came with because it's a bit smaller and less unwieldy.

This Poison Ivy looks worse than the previous one they made.

The joker has a great body to toss various joker headsculpts on that were let down by the bodies that were used for their figures. Hate this headsculpt. I have a few of them, one was repainted to match the icons vest and shirt color with an essentials head. Ivy is just a flat out ugly figure and since I basically got it free I just grabbed the vines to throw on my custom marvel legends poison ivy that fits perfect with the essentials line and threw this figure in the trash. The batman is garbage like the one released for the croc wave but like that one at least I was able to harvest a few pieces to use for customs(like the cowl which is perfectly designed for cloth capes and the emblem for classic 80s designs, used it for a custom "the cult" mezco style figure I was commissioned to do). So far all these recent waves are good for is some custom figure fodder, the Alfred figure, kgbeast and the killer croc baf. I can't believe they missed the opportunity to deliver at least one good batman figure. The zero year buck without the added sculpt would've made the perfect base body. They could've released an entire wave of just batman figures using that buck honoring different artists/classic comic cover art/batman designs and all it would've required would've been some different chest emblems(sculpted on), utility belts(which they already have a ton of), capes(which they already have a ton of) and heads. The way the boots and ankles were done for this figure would've been great used on all of them, all they had to do was get rid of the detail.

I saw these at my local Target. Was not too impressed with them. The batman looked like they spray painted the cowl from across the room, and you think your Poison Ivy is bad, this one had one eye almost on the side of her forehead. Joker looked OK but not so much that I would buy him. Easy pass.

Yeah, the only one I'll pick up is Joker, he's fantastic! The rest are run of the mill Mattel drivel

They are just bad

This figure sucks! Why did both marvel and dc, get rid of the ab crunch in their figure lines for female characters, "well, besides the fact they are cheap."

The sculpt of the face is atrocious. It looks even worse in person. It looks like a very cartoonish oriental woman cosplaying as Poison Ivy. I've seen much better sculpts on Happy Meal toys. No one can deny that the DC Mattel figures from the last few years are utter garbage. They've just gotten worse and worse, and it's really embarrassing. This series literally looks like they shouldn't cost more than $6 a piece.
