Completely agree. Shouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t to scale with the game or previous DC Collectibles figure

Exactly! If your referencing a SPECIFIC game then you should scale it accordingly. And if you’ve seen my previous video with the titan joker those are around the same height so it can be done. They just aren’t as detailed as the dc collectibles one.

McFarlane is more than capable to depict good video game figures. Witcher 3 geralt, Johnny silverhand, borderlands... But for some reason when it comes to Arkham series, they always try to come up with weird ideas instead of just freaking follow the game design. Titan Joker, Batman, Arkham Knight, and now is the Solomon Grundy. What piss me off is that I feel like they did it on purpose,. The chest paint of Batman Arkham Knight, the pattern stripes on the Arkham Knight himself, the pants and nails of Joker, and now is the size of Solomon. They are still good figure in general, but being off from the original design destroys the purpose of collecting video game figures. Good video as usual!.

I think he’s fine if you just compare it next to Batman or average 7 inch figures, but next to the actual mega figs he’s punny!

You know, I'm 50 years old and haven't played video games since the first Xbox. I do however collect figures that catch my eye. When I seen the DC direct one and looked into the background of it. I agree with you 100% McFarlane's should of been twice the size. I really think McFarlane should of never attempted a grundy figure since the direct one will never, ever be beaten. I'm a huge McFarlane fan to, I was one of those collectors in the mid 90s that hit all the target, kmart, Walmart, venture, and toy stores looking for every last variation on spawn figures. So I'm no hater, I just know when a figure is made and will never get any better. I'm happy I'm at a point in my life where I can buy whatever I want and have all the space I need to display. Back on Subject, I apologize. But McFarlane kills it in alot of categories but he should of leaned towards a Mr Freeze figure or anything else. Main point of my comment - your 100% right and if anyone disagrees with you thier wrong, lol. You rock my brother!!

Who cares about the video game, this smaller sized Grundy is the correct size for Batman. We must remember that Grundy is just a big Zombie and that is it.

I hate that’s it’s not to scale but it doesn’t bother me all that much, like yeah it sucks, but I’ve personally never imagined Solomon grundy as a towering giant, maybe big, sure, but not gigantic like he was in the game. I’m 50/50 with it

Hes a great figure and love the detail but just the fact they said it was the arkham one they should have made him a mega dog but overall he’s a good figure

Oh so you’re the one who bought that Solomon grundy off of Mercari right? I notice you said “his arm is broken” and I remember the seller stating that in the description that his arm was also broken with a somewhat reasonable low price for it. Honestly it was still too high and should’ve lowered it much more if it was broken, no excuse Anyways McFarlane dropped the ball with this figure big time like it’s not even funny. Wouldn’t collect anymore because their choices are very strange not gonna lie. Great video

It's a baf not mega fig 🤷‍♂️ I own both of those grundy's So I'm ok with the height.

Interestingly enough is the same sculpt by Joe Menna but reduced in scale with tooling changes. McFarlane cutting corners here.

Ok ok yes this Grundy is too small and the colors are weird. BUT if you know how to paint even slightly, maybe 10-15 minutes of dry brushing and detail work make this Grundy one of the best looking figures ever made period.

Not too small, WAY too small. Compared to batman, It looks only around 10 inches taller. In the game, IT WAS LIKE DOUBLE THE HEIGHT OF BATMAN!
