I received this Dbad musso Bowie this week and it's better then expected. The size, shape and just overall beauty of this knife is absolutely remarkable. Truly a beauty and a beast of a knife. I have 4 Dbad designed knives now and they are all amazing! Thank KKKH Nepal and Donnie for truly making gorgeous and beastly knives at such an affordable price. I have to say, while the Gil Hibben versions of the Musso are intentionally designed to be eye catching knives, this one is very attractive in its own unique way. Not to mention being the only knife to scare Sasquatch into another time zone.

My Big Jim came in today and I have to say, its awesome. I also got the Roughlander and its hard to pick a favorite because they are both great blades. For such a large knife the Big Jim has perfect balance and feels like an extension of your hand.

That one has my heart. As a Texan I appreciate you honoring the Alamo, a Sacred place to us...and the Musso is the most beautiful knife made, IMO. And that one is the finest. I have 2 more Ronin Katana swords to buy and then I'll carry that DBAD Musso in horizontal as my EDC, the way I carry a custom one now...in horizontal carry...hope the scabbard fits in my frog, if not I'll get another leather frog. I need that one,great job all the way around. Actually that may be better in a shoulder carry. My 10 inch blade works, but that one is a beast!!

All right Donnie you win. Should I send the check to you or do you want KHHI to get it and send me the various bowies you designed? Dude this is awe-freaking-some! If you ever get to Little Rock we have a great collection on display due to Jim Black who is from Arkansas and mis known to have made knives for Jim and Rezin Bowie. The Gator Tail is still on my grail list but now I have to add another. Brother Crocodile Dundee would be proud to own either! I like the choice of steel as I love 52100. Be careful on your next outdoor adventure cause If Sasquatch sees it he will want it. I being born in AR and living in texas, and Oklahoma, and now back to Arkansas have a soft spot for Bowies. They are my history in a way so I get it. Been reading about Jim Bowie, james Black, Rezin, and Musso my whole life. Good job brother!

I'd love to see a "do I still love it" on the SZCO Primitive. Especially now that the Big Jim has been out for a good while. The Hibbens are still the most attractive of the lot, imo, but light use mostly. That SZCO seems like a serious banger that goes easy on the wallet. Even a Vs. the Big Jim would be cool, just to see what that Primitive bowie can really do

I think I still have it. You cant go as hard on the primitive do to the tang, but at least it can still be used. The Hibs are definitely the prettiest. Neither as hardcore as the BJ

I just ordered my first KHHI knife last week. They are custom making a power hammer Bowie for me. Customizing the handle for my medium size hands. I hate huge handles. Can’t wait to see it. If they go a good job, and I’m confident they will, then I will be ordering more knives from them.

I like the size of the knife and I would comment that the brass spine on older models was meant to catch the opponent's knife; the opponent would bite into the brass and Jim Bowie or whomever would use that moment to their advantage. If you mentioned that, I missed it. There aren't many techniques that I've been exposed to that support this catching method. Knife fighting is quick and decisive, not nearly as romantic as in the movies. Brass or no brass, I must de-fang the snake, first. Happy Father's Day.

the brass is great for defense as it absorbs shock from an enemies weapon. A full hit to a brass guard left a danger of the guard being cut off, but it was less likely to happen. Plus, brass is so soft it was easy for forgers to shape into what ever was needed

I was wondering what a spine guard was used for and I found this: "An early style bowie knife - quite massive with a long clip point - and an extension coming off of the guard that covers the spine of the blade. The softer-than-steel brass would be used to temporarily "catch" an opponents blade: block with your spine, and when his edge nicks in, use leverage to wind and stab or cut." So I guess making the spine guard out of steel would counter the reason it was historically put on the knife, but it looks cooler and that's all that matters.

The catching was also to help absorb shock. This one even in steel, helps with that. Also, the guard doen't get the same heat treat as the blade, so its still softer

Ok, I got this blade the other day and I am so impressed. This is the be-all end-all blade for me. It’s a little weighty after swinging it, but I always wanted to build my arms up. I don’t think I’ll need another knife ever again 😆 It has that perfect musso style and the colour scheme is great too. I’d like to see a version of this with a nice stag handle too

@@DonnieBAllDay you really hit the nail on the head with this one bud. You got exactly what you were aiming for. I’ve looked at a lot of musso bowies and none of them really matched up to what I like - either too small, weird cross guard, big ugly writing on it etc., but this one is friggin massive, perfect s guard, and the brand markings are so modest they’re barely visible. There are a couple ugly spots on it that I think KH could have polished out better, but that doesn’t really bother me. Plus the welded on spine guard… bro! I have full confidence in the quality and durability. I can’t wait to get out into the woods this weekend and chop some shit up with it. And all the boys at work loved it too! I think you might get a couple more orders for it out to Napanee Ontario

Hey brother I made my own version of the musso Bowie knife, it's full Tang, 1 inch thick, 21 inches long, 15 inch long blade, 3 inches wide, 4 inch clip point, with a u shaped saw on spine, stainless steel longhorn shape guard welded on, 4 pins, full Tang silver stag antler handle, 6 inch handle, steel 5160 spring steel, leather sheath with long horn hide on sheath, this is my tribute Bowie knife I call it, the DBad Brother musso Bowie knife, the knife reminds me I have a brother of the blade, hope you are not insulted by what I said I made the knife as tribute to you, as a brother of the blade, hope you don't mind, God bless brother,

I’ve been saving up to purchase some of your knife designs, which I just ordered your trench knife from Croco. Its accurate in blade design to the one Bowie himself carried. For me, thats why I would never alter it. Also, doing that, you remove sturdiness from the tip

Around a half inch I think

That's thick - and 14" long? Does it have a distal taper, or is it the same thickness the full length?
