You squeeze the guy heading into the corner for no reason and don't have the sense to realise he has someone on his inside on corner exit, so can't go any tighter (besides he barely squeezes you on exit anyway). You just need to learn how to navigate backmarkers better, instead of using them as an excuse after they do absolutely nothing wrong

Kart 16 spun off on the penultimate corner he firstly should of let the leaders go by not try racing them, ok that’s fine it is an open race but you can blatantly see steers into me on purpose!!FYI I gave him a kart space on the inside the other kart was behind us 😂 It’s all good though just enjoy karting. @@thegokarter8996 he just had a really bad exit. Yes he had space, but I've driven this track plenty of times, there is zero need for you to squeeze him before the corner. If you keep your kart to the right, you would be faster and get past him cleaner. And it's karting, blue flags aren't a thing, you can race whoever you want. Yes you usually let leaders through, but a lot of the time you can't tell who is leading a race

@@thegokarter8996 i have driven both and yeah the new ones are a couple seconds slower over a lap, kinda annoying but daytona mk is still probably the best karting circuit in the country so musnt grumble.

Hi thanks for watching Trust me when I say that he did it deliberately, But it’s all good, sometimes you get karters like that.

Some great footage there and some good racing. I think kart 16 gets pushed into you by the kart on the inside. So close just bad luck you are nice and smooth no mistakes on your part. Kart 16 deffo not as bad as some. Great watching your vid good battle.👍

Hi thanks for watching and your comment! 😊 some other people thought the same as you, but I can assure you that the kart on the inside had no contact with kart 16, he purposely steeredinto me! It’s ok had so much fun on that race, would have been nice to finish on the podium!

Honestly it was just unlucky, no malice from anyone here.

Nice race. Wish we had karts like that around here. (East coast, US) . The 16 was in the wrong, as a back marker who just spun himself he should let leaders by. However, I think he thought he was racing for position!!!! lol. As you say, Karting is for fun and that looked like a blast.

@@thegokarter8996 Actually I live near a great track that at one time had a very strong rental program. ( Trackhouse Motorplex, Formaly GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville NC) They just received a new fleet of CGR karts that are beautiful and will do 55mph. Wish they would do league races but Unfortunately the last couple of years they have ignored the league racers and mainly have focused on selling pizza. Those Daytona karts you are racing and the speed they do are awesome!!! I would love to come across one of those tracks one day.

Lots of pizza eaters I see !! That’s a shame !! sounds like a great karting track Daytona has even faster karts then the one in this video they are called D-MAX, now you would love them, they say they do around 70mph, shame they charge to much to use !!

To me, it looks like the guy passing you both on the inside pushed him into you. It's frustrating, but traffic was playing a big part in everyone's race. I'm very cautious of passing people on the outside. you may be reeling someone in but the slightest nudge while passing on the outside can hang you out to dry and undo or your hard work and more.

Looks like he was either bumped himself or when watching to his left the car passing him and he drifted right being distracted. Sure, there is a chance it was intentional, but when there are so many other factors here there is no way you to say for sure from just this footage.

😂 being it the final lap, I had to take that opportunity on p2, I think most people would of done! My issue with the other guy is that he’s just recovered of a spin and was a few laps behind, he had no reason to accelerate and steer in to me,he’s not racing me should off just let me by like what most if not all back markers did !!

I'm going to study this video and when we come to race on the 25/04/23 I will be able to see your movements and lap you a few times

@@thegokarter8996 I get what you’re saying mate but calling someone a wanker is harsh considering the circumstances. Things happen quickly in racing as you know. Maybe he thought he was racing you? Maybe he was confused? Maybe he got pushed wider (likely) by the guy on his inside? Did you speak to him after? Because calling him a wanker and claiming he steered into you without much evidence (which you may be able to see but we cannot see because of the angle), feels very clickbaity, or you’ve just come to a conclusion without considering other possibilities. Having raced there myself several times I know how important that corner is and how quickly it narrows on exit. I’ve been pushed wide there a few times… it’s not usually intentional it’s just hard racing and people scrambling into the last corner. I also know that you cut across him pretty aggressively before the corner, which made compromised your entry and exit.

He definitely didn’t think he was racing me he was 5 laps down! He didn’t get pushed wider by the other guy coz the other guy was behind him no contact between them! The cut across wasn’t bad, gave him enough room in the inside, and was a tact to keep the other guy behind, he blatantly steers in me, you can see that from my input on the steering. So harsh or not the quote is justified!! I’m not the type to say if I wasn’t 100% sure😊 Thanks for your feedback , maybe il see you down there sometime!

@@thegokarter8996 That’s fair enough but again you’re just saying things like “take it from me it was intentional” but we don’t know you lol, so why would we? We’ve also seen one angle which show us somewhat of your side but not his. How do you know there was no contact between them? It’s not at all obvious that he steers into you or at least purposefully anyways. I’m not saying you’re the type of guy to say it if it wasn’t justified but it feels like you’ve come to this conclusion without much evidence. Nah you squeeze the guy to the edge of the track, he had nowhere to go, other driver drives inside of him, which you should have done in the first place. Final corner, final Lap, with a guy right behind you. Why the hell are you going for the outside? Just sit on the racing line and take the podium.
