I can't recommend the Hellraiser folks or Debra Hayes more!

Pretty cool to see so much Hellraiser stuff. I first watched Hellraiser on VHS during the summer of 2002. My family moved to Las Vegas, but due to issues I had to spend a month in a motel room with my family, and then another month at my grandparent's new house and we all sat down and watched Hellraiser out of sheer boredom. I was very disappointed. Mainly due to a nitpick and that was how Frank comes back alive. But I gave it a second rewatch a couple years ago and now I'm a big big fan. Love Hellraiser 1 and 2. Have only seen parts of 3 on the Sci fi channel. Very cool of her to inform the person "I was in part 2, not part 1" before she signed the part 1 poster,lol. Very nice of her to do.

Nicolas Vince was so much fun. We happened to be staying on the same floor at the hotel for the weekend. By chance, I also got to ride the elevator down with him as he was going out to dinner Saturday night, and as we were going down to breakfast on the third floor Sunday morning. Such an easy fellow to chat with. Hope he comes back to ATL for more conventions. Also, you should’ve stayed for Saturday as well. Their Hellraiser panel that afternoon was an absolute riot. They had the whole crowd laughing it up the whole time about set stories and so forth.

I would have loved to have attended the Hellraiser panel.

I know it was Friday, but it’s so strange to see Doug Bradley with no queue. He did a con here in the UK last year and he was so busy that people were being turned away.

This Days of the Dead was a mess! My wife and I have been vendors at DotD Atlanta for a few years now -- this was our 5th time here -- and it was.. ..something else. I understand the Sheraton is under new management now and boy, did they ever drop the ball with this! Hopefully, they either get things sorted out or the event planners find us a better site next go 'round!

So far has anyone guessed which guest you had a bizarre encounter with? 😂❤ I’m guessing Michael Ironside

Kinda funny, we went to this last weekend in Chicago and my wife and I got a pic with heather langenkamp and she autographed her Freddy doll well Michael ironside was at the table next to hers and as we were leaving, we went out to the hall to get some water before we headed to ashley laurences table I was like hey what’s up Michael he gave me the what’s up head gesture but said hi ya doing baby to my wife, when we went out to the hall I laughed and said first time I saw that guy in anything was total recall and never would imagine 34 years later that same guy would be calling my wife baby, we both thought it was funny

Sounds worth it for the Hellraiser peeps. I'd guess the bizarre encounter was The Exorcist demon lady. Hopefully not Ironside - I like that dude.

did the chicago one as an artist vendor back in the fall. kinda the same. parking was not idea, but def sounded like yours was worse. i was mostly tied to my booth the entire time and got to meet some very enthusiastic appreciators of my work. before the con opened on one of the days i did a walk through of ours which was mostly just one big room. most of the celebs werent at their tables but did see a few greats. i was there to make money though, not spend it so i resisted temptation.

Location is a down side. Need better signage. Parking is an issue. Thinking it might be the convention it self has out grew the parking lot. We got home and had additional charges on our cards still working through. Sign board across the street advertised as 15 dollar parking. Turn out it was 25 a day better than hotel 45 plus. Restaurant hours did not work for us either.

Was it Michael Beihn?! We must know, Piz! 😂 If it’s him, heart this message. Don’t need written acknowledgment. lol

Did you buy anything from the ClayGuy saw you walk by his table it was in video for less than a second… I think the autograph and drawing combo on the hellraiser poster is a nice touch

Looks like you got to meet some good guests. I’ve only ever meet Ashley Lawerence and Doug Bradley. We have Monster Mania coming up near me soon in March. The lineup is insane I can’t imagine how crowded it’s gonna be.

Glad things got better with the guests since the venue wasn't well matched for a con. Dean Cain or Dave Sheridan are my guesses. Thanks for sharing the trip. The Mad Monster in Charlotte (when I live) has Kevin Spacey coming this year and some are complaining about that. Not sure if you had heard about it. Thanks for sharing your trip.

Whaaat?! You were at the days of the dead in Atlanta on Friday?? I was there too that day, crazy! And ill be honest man i been to this conventions many times but this was the weakest its ever been, a lot of cancellations and the vibe just felt off this time around for me.

Dean Cain was the weird one? I remember him being in that Not House Of The Dead movie back in the oughts.

I really hope the strange encounter wasn't with Doug Bradley or Heather Lagenkamp.

The most mismanaged and disorganized convention I've ever been to was Days Of The Dead Louisville 2019, rivaled only by Fright Night Film Fest (pick any year). I've concluded that Louisville doesn't have much to show for in the way of horror conventions...
