When I heard this song, I thought about my grandfather. He passed away Oct. 1, 2021. "And when the daylight comes, I'll have to go", he died in sleep, specifically in the morning. For me that line has a different meaning. I love you dadsy, 2022 will be hard without you, but it'll be a new start

When I was young I used to sing it as " when the daylight comes a happy thought" Now... I understand the degree of sadness in this song.

Today was the first time I listened to this song in years. It was a great nostalgia experience. I used to listen to this song all the time back then when I used to listen to this band. As much as I don’t care for this band anymore this is incredibly emotional ride. And in my eyes this is Maroon 5’s best song.

To the young ones who are reading this(if there is one) cherish the times when you're still young, enjoy those naps that your parents are telling you to. Enjoy those time with your friends in school or in your neighborhood. Because as time passes by you can't return to the past only the future so enjoy it while it last.

This song made me realize I'm turning twenty soon and I'll finally say goodbye to my teen years... It makes me sad because I barely spend this teenage days of mine to something like teens of my age were doing.... The painful goodbye I will ever have....
