I don't find the seafood in Pontian Fish Market cheap any more, at least in Malaysia's context. If you like giant grouper, can try 阿富魚湯小炒 not far from the fish market. On the way to Pontian, can also stop by at Pekan Nanas to try the 东兴肉骨茶 (usually sold out at 10am)

Cooking charges ,RM 70 including rice and drink is really cheap Normally steam fish charge is rm 15 Asam fish is rm 18 to 20 Black sauce prawn is rm 12 to 15

No official timing, but best to go before 10am and head to the restaurant with your purchases after you are done shopping. Usually an hour wait for the food, so just nice for lunch.

If there is time, a visit to Kuala Sepatang ( fishing village ) near Taiping, especially the RASA restaurant ( Chinese owner and seafoods), is worthy. Excellent food and good prices.

@@iamNDCai There are a few other restaurants. There are boats taking visitors out to sea and see the dolphins. A charcoal factory. Driving another 130km north is Penang.

早上10點之前到他們的巴剎就剛剛好。買了魚和海鮮後再過去代煮那裡吃午餐。

Hi, I am also going to Pontian fish market this weekend with my family. Can I check what time you reached the market? I intend to reach around 11am. Is the queue at the Zhi char restaurant long? How long did you wait for them to cook your seafood? Do I need to make reservations first? Thanks in advance for your advice!

I reached around 10.30am. There’s no need to make any reservation but I will suggest to spilt into two groups upon arriving. One group to go market and buy the ingredients, the other to go to the zhi char shop to get a table and cup(your cooking queue number). Else it’s usually an hour of wait for your cooked food to be ready.
Expensive like that eat buy your fish, vegetables,prawn ask them cook still need pay rm$70 expensive

You can find all the addresses in the description box. Fish Market - 13,Pasar Lelong Ikan Pasar Awam, Pontian Kecil, 82000 Pontian, Johor, Malaysia. There's no specific address for the durian stall but they are located at the intersection between Jalan Sri Maju and Skudai-Pontian Highway.

几点去比较好？
黄梨园真的可以省略不用去，没什么好看的，旗鱼海鲜基本上不好吃，环境不好，服务烂透，又吵 ！ 价格也不便宜了 ，本地都不会去的 ，。
