The Maritime Authority of Jamaica is happy to acknowledge and celebrate Day Of The Seafarer, today, June 25, 2024. Director General, Bertrand Smith, echoes the sentiments of the General Secretary of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), that without seafarers there would be no shipping, shopping, or supply chain.
Day of the Seafarer is an annual celebration organised by the IMO, to recognise the contribution that seafarers make to our everyday lives. Big up all seafarers, here in Jamaica and abroad!
