Niall it would sever a lot of people well to be shown/educated on how to actually correctly vote - meaning how do you fill in the voter form on the day of an election so it is valid and counted and not deemed spoiled. 108,488 votes were deemed invalid in the last local and European elections - more than enough voters to fill Croke Park stadium. People unintentionally spoiled their own vote which made it invalid in the last election by defacing or crossing off candidates or writing on a voter form (trying to ensure not to have their first preferences transferred later to a person they did not wish to vote for - in doing so their vote wasn't counted at all if the vote counting official deemed the voter form defaced or spoiled). Show people how to fill in the vote card - what is acceptable to put and what is unacceptable. When people do not wish their vote to be transferred to other candidates, how do they fill in the form in a way which will ensure their vote is valid. As the next election you run in gets closer this should be a topic you continually repeat - get the message out there.
