I cry every time I think about it😭 it's just so heartbreaking

This is how I felt with the uvalde school shooting in Texas. It was like 50 miles from me and my daughter’s first year in school. I cried for weeks everyday. I just empathized so much with those families and my therapist told me is was second had PTSD. Praying for all the families affected and I’m so saddened by the lack of coverage.

Thank you for sharing the real stories of the Maui fires because not everything is shared so honest and rawly online and on the news. May those beautiful families and people rest in peace ❤

I can’t imagine living so close to the fires. Our family has vacationed in Lahaina area for decades and some our family had left the Sunday before everything happened. When I heard the news I held my 4 month old and bawled my eyes knowing there were mothers who died trying to protect their children, and those who did survive but lost everything. I sooo understand the addiction to phones with a newborn. I had no idea I would be so bored and tired with a new baby. I wish I would’ve had more grace with myself in that season and just let it be. It goes by sooo fast… You are doing exactly what you are supposed to. ❤️

I just want to scream at moms on their phones and handing their babies phones😡😡 I raised my son's alone pre internet and was NEVER bored or wanting them "out of my hair". Guess it's just a personality thing.

Being trapped with your children and consumed by the fire is too horrible to even comprehend. I'm so glad you guys are okay! I didn't know about the fires. Thank you for letting me know so I can pray for these families! I'm glad you are a light for Jesus in the midst of it.😊

I don't watch news channels and I try to avoid seeing news articles on Facebook because it's usually just depressing or one sided. So I see how this person wouldn't have known if she avoids news channels

It was so good to see some raw compassion and empathy from someone about the fires. The heart of Jesus ❤️

Love this!! Also I used to be so addicted to my phone, God convicted me of it and showed me I put it before him. I deleted my social media apps and have been off of it for about a week now, and i feel so much content and intune with God. I replace the time on social media with reading the bible, or doing a devotional. Reading a book, or if i really just want that 'entertainment' i get on pintrest or youtube. Yes I def encourage a fast from it and encourage reading the bible to occupy the time! God bless sis!!! Youre doing a good job!!! Im having my baby in January and your videos have been so inspiring to me and ontime with my journey aswell!

I did this a year ago and have never looked back. Well, I definitely have (foam lol) but I feel so free that I can't imagine ever reactivating IG or TikTok. I also use KZread and Pinterest and feel like I get everything I "need" from social media that way. I'm so encouraged by the amount of people also doing this!

He’s adorable! And don’t feel like you have to hold him while he’s sleeping lay him down if he gets a fussy give him his binky he’ll be just fine even if he fusses for a little bit so he gets use to sleeping in his own bed during the day. Nap time’s bedtime will easier. Change of scenery outside feed fresh air the sunlight.

I love watching first time moms with a new baby 😂 you’re doing such a great job and babies are soOo hard, some of them go through phases where they don’t sleep as much, do your best to help them and give them opportunities & that’s all you can do.

Love from 🇦🇺 we are regularly exposed to the threat of bushfires where I live and we've nearly lost our farm multiple times and have lost community members and friends to bushfires. It's so scary and so devastating. Last year an accidental fire here destroyed 200 homes and all summer is tense and the air smells like smoke. I'm sorry for your community - I pray you will find solace in Christ and in fellowship ❤️

I would highly recommend checking out the taking cara babies newborn course. I used it for my second and third babies and it helped so much with naps and understand what to expect in this phase of life.

Kian, I'm glad you and your family are safe. Legend is so cute! When you're talking to him, it reminds me of all the things I say to my baby. Lol. Moms must have a similar baby language. Lol. I don't like bras either. I've gone without them since having my baby in March. You should get the nursing pad inserts. Depending on the top they'll just stick with no problem. I didn't do a schedule with my baby and he kind of naturally developed one on his own.

I am glad you are safe there in Hawaii Maui it's very sad what happened there with the fires there in Maui Hawaii it's so sad can't believe that happened hard to handle the all the death and loss there send my love to you and hope that Maui Hawaii gets the help and the president does his job and stop lying and not doing anything at all . We used baby wise for the first 6 months and loveddddd it. My mom used it for me as a kid too. Our son is now 10m and is an awesome sleeper. We now just follow taking Cara babies and her wake windows ect. Love these new vlogs!!!❤

@@KianTilton if we knew it was time for him to sleep, we did everything we could to get him to sleep. We were pretty strict with the book and the schedule for about 2 weeks and then he was on it like clock work, and it was amazing. Sleeping through night at 10 weeks ect

Thank you for sharing about Maui and talking about it! I don’t think it’s getting enough attention. The majority people don’t realize how grave it is and how devastating it is. My family is in Lahaina and I am happy that they survived. But they are heart broken. My cousin is living at the plantation restaurant where she worked with a few other families and they are helping cook meals to feed survivors non stop since the fires! Thank you so much for what you guys are doing. I messaged Kyle on Instagram and he responded quickly. Trying to help however I could from the mainland in messaging people to try to get help to the west side. So so appreciate you guys and you were directly impacted because your heart so I know you are hurting too. I used to stick baby in jumpy seat /swing in bathroom with me as I was always a single mama, and they used to love the sound of the shower & I could talk to them from there or sing / play calming music etc. 🩷🌷 ruff days but dare I say I kinda miss it !! Your giving me baby fever girlfriend 😂😂

I’m sorry 😭 Kian about everything you are going through. It was very sad for the people that lost their life including their babies 👶🏼, the mom 👩🏽 was working when all this happened, she was hysterical 😩 I can’t just imagine. Was a lot of helicopter 🚁 over here going back and forth to the hospital 🏥 I’m hearing the Mother 👩🏽 is in very big trouble because of what they were doing and she knew about what they were doing. Massage baby's feet and legs. My children and grandchildren always became more calm and relaxed when fussy as babies.

And this is where I struggle with faith - where is god ? Why did he let this happen. 😢 there is so much horror going on in the word right now - fires happening in so many parts of the word - we are currently dealing with our own here in Canada . I just don't know how I'm suppose to have faith anymore. Regardless we can all be a community and put our differences aside for human kind which is what is bringing me peace during these times.

Hey, I understand the feeling of where is God. I lost two babies to 2nd trimester miscarriage this year and life's been so dark. However I felt God in the midst of this pain. He was there in the hospital when I lost them. He held me when my hope was gone. I saw him in the eyes of the people at church who brought us food and prayed for us. I believe there are some things that are only happening because of a fallen world. Babies aren't supposed to die. People aren't supposed to die. With sin came fallen parts of the world that hurt us and others. Could God stop the pain? Yes, but I felt God even more strongly in the midst of the pain and trial. I'm choosing to press into him even when I do not understand. Jesus said in this world we would have trials, but to take heart for he has overcome the world. Hope God brings healing into your heart. Press into him even when you don't feel like it.

@@lifewithashleyelizabeth no they didn't but neither did Jesus. He died the absolutely worst kind of death to save us. He asked and pleaded with God the Father to remove his cup.. I will never understand why there has to be so much pain in the world. I wish Adam and Eve didn't mess up perfection. But there is a verse in psalm 56:8 where it says he keeps track of all our sorrows and holds our tears in a bottle. In Revelation He speaks of how in heaven there will be no more crying, or pain, or tears. And he will wipe every tear from our eyes. I totally understand not understanding tragedy like this, I held the bodies of both my children perfectly formed but born into heaven. I felt the warmth leave my sons body as we held him after we lost him. And through it all I felt God's whisper "I am here". Gods son died as well, I think he knows my pain. I think some awful things are a part of an awful fallen world. I don't think these things were part of God's original design. I don't know why God steps into our stories in miraculous ways at times and not at all in others. But I do know His heart breaks with us. Sin messed up the world and as a result there are things that happen both naturally and by people that cause hurt and pain. Jesus experienced both in his life. He knows what we walk through and that is the only thing that helps me in the midst of pain and heartbreak. I can trust him with my pain because he knows.

Apparently, FEMA is hiding shipping containers of supplies behind hotels and stuff. Hopefully those supplies will be distributed. Remember our God is a good God full of mercy and grace....and I would think that He took the victims quickly. Sending prayers and thank you for your assistance and service to the community.

Hey Kian, I just sent you a message on Instagram about how to help Hawaii but it sent as a request and wouldn’t let me send anymore. I have no ties to Hawaii so I’m still trying to understand who needs what and where to give. My husband and I live in Savannah, Georgia, two under two, but I’m a stay at home mom and it’s got me thinking how easy it would be to go door to door and ask for donations to be sent to the Venmo’s you shared

My son is a fireman and thankfully they wouldn’t feel a thing the smoke would get them first which is so incredibly sad I was saying when this happened why can’t they get these unused cruise ships and dock them right off the shore so these displaced people have a room and shelter, and that way they can have a place right off the coast until their homes are rebuilt. 🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️
