Please please please I’d absolutely love to see some content on the transition to barefoot for your horses! I’d love to hear about what and when you use the hood boots for and any other things that have helped with the transition from being shod to barefoot! Absolutely love your relationship with Blondie and it’s fantastic to watch the way you work with her and I find it so helpful as someone who also has a horse that has says no 🤎🐴

Oh, cool ballroom dancing lessons are a blast. I did them with a coworker and friend years ago before my accident at a community college. You will enjoy them too. I bet.

The intermammary fold is a functional skinfold, and it can accumulate sebaceous material. If it is not removed every few months, it will harden into a "bean," but because it is between the mammaries (unlike a male horse's bean), it can either be flat and bark-like, or it can be sharp and pointy if the intermammary fold is a deeper crease for that female. I bought a mare with a deep crease between her mammaries, and she had not at that time received much groundwork training, so she was 3 years after her foal before anyone could touch down there (3-4 months after she came to me), and she had some hardened sebum that had gotten fairly sharp. Now she lets me wipe it away regularly, and I have trained my other mare to let me check there.

Oh barefoot evolution, yes please! At present, my boy is only shod during show season but his fronts widen and flare out even with 4-6 week trims.

I'd be interested in a barefoot video! My boy has bars on the front due to DDT tear and was bare foot behind. After doing our rehab he's hind feet weren't the best and since now being shod on all 4 he's moving so much better. I'd love for him to be bare foot but alot of our work is on the roads and hacking and I've been told he should probably continue to have the bars on for stability x

I had a Shire mare who used to suffer with her boobs. Luckily she loved having them cleaned and scratched 😅 But we also used plenty of udder cream 👍🏻

A video on barefoot would be so helpful. I have a pony in my care atm who is sore everytime he has a trim so how to tell a good trimmer and what the hoof needs to be working towards would be very useful. I suspect atm he is having too much toe removed and is on his soles too much but I need to educate myself better on this.

I'm new here (Canada) and I'm just wondering what it us that you are doing. Are you working with horses who have some.difficulties that you are correcting and them they go back home?

Definitely need a barefoot video. PLEASE secure your dogs in the car. If you have an accident they could end up loose, injured, frightened, causing chaos and more work for emergency services on the road. (It's also a legal requirement in the UK now.)

Yes, it's super important to secure dogs in the car! A dog guard in the car's boot is within UK regs and it is easy to miss that there is one in the car in this video.

@@ingridholme8385 The dogs are loose in the boot though, not secure. In an accident they could be bounced around the whole boot and potentially get out! Best to use a double guard or crates for boot travel.

Unharnessed dogs in the boot + boot guard do count as secure for the UK regs (this differs globally). I would add a note of caution - many of the products on the market make claims which aren't supported by crash test experiments (i.e cheap crates etc). I'd say that everyone needs to consider the type of car they drive, the level of risk, type of dog etc and make the best call for their situation -as long as they meet the legal regs etc @@lemonladyYT
