My brother is type one diabetic, he just got a insulin pump. It’s hard for him, he never tells anyone but me and it’s hard for me to see him upset. Am proud of my brother.

Henry is so old!! I still think of him at the 2.5 year old when diagnosed so every time I see him, I'm shocked! Also, he is polite and lovely

Great family! We all should thank the Creator and keep holding on.You are strong and will always be. I also am a teen with type 1 diabetes and it's sometimes even harder than I thought but I've also learnt that we all have a purpose and everything happens for a good reason. So we all should smile😊😊😊 always.

You are AWESOME Henry!! What a day after a CRAZY night!! Been there done that, wish I could say it gets better but such is the life of a t1d!! Thank you for sharing!! Amy I'm not neglecting YOU!! You and Andy are BEYOND in your parenting a child with diabetes!! Evan's piano playing and Charlie's silliness at the end were beautiful additions!!❤

On rough days, keep in mind that you are raising Henry to take care of himself, completely on his own someday, and that you are all doing the best you can at navigating through life with T1D, even though it’s so frustrating sometimes. Mom was diagnosed at 10 or 11 years old, and as a teenager, she went through a phase where she refused to manage her BG, or take her insulin the way she was supposed to. She would let her BG stay between 300-600... her Mom (my grandma) refused to help Mom Manage her diabetes, she didn’t want to learn or help my mom take care of her diabetes, and left Mom to take care of her diabetes on her own. Mom eventually decided to start taking care of herself, and still does her best at trying to take care of herself. At 49 years old, she’s trying to get her first CGM partly because of us watching and learning from you guys!

Managing diabetes is such hard work. I kept wondering what it was like 50 years ago before all the technology. Henry looks so grown up all of a sudden!

Dear Amy. You’re such an amazing Mom and person for the excellent way that you take care of your family. Henry, I know what a struggle T1 is and you’re rising up to the challenge and acing it! Great job that you’re doing. Thanks for sharing with us. Amy, can you please convert the numbers for us who live in Canada and the U.K. on the screen? Hugs to all😘.

I am learning real fast that diabetes is soo frustrating...Henry is soo opposite of my Lydia, she is lucky if we can keep her blood sugar at 80 and keeping after her to eat a snack at least something every hour or two except when she is sleeping, altho last night she was up in middle of night cause she was low,so she doesn't drop to low can be exhausting she has been having alot of lows at school, mainly because they dont serve enough food for school lunch, and she is soo busy with play production, she wants to be a normal teen, she has been testing at school, her one friend learned how to test her blood sugar should she not be able to and others in her class were interested in learning as well,..my hope for the future for Henry and Lydia is that they find a cure for Diabetes

The craving for sugar when your BG is high is so intense and resisting it can feel like you are hurting yourself since your instincts are telling you "you're starving, eat everything" Sorry he had an occlusion. I wish his pump had realized it was occluded earlier so he wouldn't have been as high. The possibility of occlusions and poor absorption is the primary reason I'm still not on a pump. All's well that ends well with that great night time BG!

When you showed the clock at the beginning for some reason I felt a sense of ease because it showed me I'm not the only parent that has to wake up at the crack of dawn. This disease can be so irritating. My daughter was diagnosed 4 years ago and I can't remember the last time I had a full night sleep. It sometimes gets frustrating not being around other parents that know how I feel because parents at her school just say omg that's so sad when they find out shes a diabetic. It's not easy being a pancreas for her. I'm a single parent and it is not easy dealing with this on my own but we are getting though and your videos give me hope
