I get so perfectionist about my art that I get stuck in blocks a lot of the time. I love watching you draw because you seem so free while doing it. Your work is so stylised and so different to mine but that’s kind of what I love about it, there’s such a charm to it. You’ve inspired me to try traditional painting and just be a bit looser with my work and to just have fun with it. I’m getting excited to try out new things now, thank you!

My time management is in the trenches 😭 The problem is that I have really heavy mood swings and it's a problem when I try to complete my tasks for the day, so I just can't get started. But when I do get started I can just go one for 6-7 hours without disturbance. I can't work on small time managements. 😅

the tendency to be over ambitious is so real!! 😭😭 perfectionism really is that bijjj!!! I’m so glad you’re finding a way to manage, bc it’s truly a challenge at first 💔🫡

Managing time is so difficult. I'm still figuring it out. But I now have set tasks on certain days, where these must be done. I also plan my day the night before or early that morning. I create a timeline and try and stick to those tasks in that time.. also have an IF HAVE TIME tasks. I think one of the most difficult is to put in times for cooking/eating, breaks and home tasks. Always struggle with that. I also do a general mth goal and weekly goals.

I plan my week every Friday. I use a combo of Google calendar and Microsoft OneNote.

omgg I used to use google calendar religiously but it eventually started to stress me out haha!! for some reason my notion calendar doesn't?? I think it's because I no longer do time blocks! I'll have to check out microsoft one note!

thank you!! I mostly used the Retro Max Pack Gouache Brush, a little bit of a the default 6B pencil + a pastel brush that I think is also from the retro max pack! :)

How do you use your sketchbook for finished pieces? Do you go back and redo them in procreate/photoshop? I would feel like my sketchbook pieces would have to be perfectly complete to be used so its stressful. I love seeing sketchbook session like this:)

I like to use my sketchbook as a brainstorm of ideas! It's suuuper rare that I'll ever have a finished idea/complete stuff in there. I know a lot of artists who make complete works in there but I just can't do that haha. So when I want to make a final piece, I'll flip through the sketchbook to find an idea or rough concept I want to explore further, and then I'll take that onto procreate to make the first more developed sketch!

This is not an art related question, but what is that trash can next to your litter box? And does it keep the smell down? Cat mom of two over here, and anything I can do to improve that process for myself sounds amazing. Also fun video though! Thanks for sharing!

its called a litter genie!! I LOVE IT bc it totally keeps the smell out for me. The litter genie brand inserts are kind of expensive but I buy these blue smell proof bags on amazon (a.co/d/6Dqjj8Z) and put them inside to save money! I highly recommend it :) some people don't like it because they just prefer using a regular small trash can but.. I've found that these are great at keeping the smell out.
