as someone who used to hold a lot of resentment for police, due to being arrested for a theft that was not my fault(I was with some kid who stole, while I had no clue it happened, and I was arrested with him aswell), seeing stuff like this really opens my eyes as to why and how police operate on a daily routine, and really helps people like me open our eyes to the fact that police are human beings just like me. Thank You.

I remember watching my father get ready for work when I was a kid. The city he was a police officer wasn’t the safest and my mother and I would always say the policeman’s prayer after he left.... Stay safe !

I just turned 19 and since I got held back for being in another country I’m still waiting on my diploma in June 2022, what are my first steps please help.

My mom has been a police dispatcher for 33 years, I've been around police my entire life and am so interested in police work (although my chronic pain issues caused me to second guess my safety if I became a police officer so my dream died). This is quite interesting to see, speaking for the british police the routine as well as some of the documentation is very similar. At the end of the day it is a job and routines are something you pick up as you go along with the job. The vehicle check sheet/equipment check is something that is oh so familiar to me haha

Being a senior this year in high school has been a fright cause I always thought we were supposed to immediately know what we are supposed to do. I always thought I would be a veterinarian but then I realized maybe that’s not for me. I wanted to join to army since I was 16 but since of my medical conditions I’m not allowed to and I also too young. At 17 I struggled with mental health a lot and met a really nice female cop. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be here today. Because of her I want to be in the special victims unit. But if I don’t do that I’ll probably just with with being an officer. I always wanted to be that helpful person. I’m always so big on rules it’s crazy. Anyways thanks for the help you do for us. Most of us wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for your team. :) stay safe.

I mean most likely in the future they prob won’t really be vital with road things being on there own so there’s no need for them to be on the road and robots that can help solve your problem so they’ll prob fade out bjt maybe I’m wrong but with the way tech is going I fear it’s gonna change and ruin a lot of things

It's good you have something you're excited about but why policing specifically? If your goal is to help others out and make a change in your community, you can do that in a non-hierarchical, horizontal way. Laws change and enforcing them onto others sounds to be more of an egotistical reason for wanting to be in such a position. If everyone could act with decency with each other, most "law enforcement" wouldn't be needed. Then there's crime in relation to speeding, stealing, ect which is valid. I see being in a collective neighborhood watch with instilling in egalitarian values to be more worthwhile, Jerick.

@@AM-ms5rt The main reason I want to be a police officer is to be in a position, not because of ego or anything, but be in a position to be able to hear both sides and make a legal and lawful judgement and be in the position to carry out that judgement. If I become a marriage counselor, for say sake, I'm in the position to hear both sides, but not carry out what I see fit. I hope that makes sense

@@SharkyYTttv Why do you feel like you should be the one hearing both sides and carrying out a decision for both people? It seems like you have good intent but I think any argument should be poked in a bit and see what stands. I think people should be allowed to be free but informed. People can make some of the best decisions there w/o needing a shepherd. Being a police officer elevates you above the common person because you're in a position to enact violence, justified or not, against them. And you mentioned making a "lawful" judgment. Your position is to uphold what the government says unto civilians. It doesn't make it moral. I think a better thing to do would be looking at how you want to make a difference but doing it without being above others. Or at least in a position that enables it. But it sounds nice enough that you'd like to make some type of judgement. People are fallible and their emotions and wants can change. Philosohpize on the root cause of why police are here and what they claim to uphold. Oh, I didn't touch on the counselor part but that's alright too. I believe only people who are affected by something should make decisions on it. I mean, imagine a meat-eater saying to a vegan, "you'll eat meat because I see this as fit". On a more serious note, I hope you find a good way to contribute to society. It sounds like you want to help make judgements and contribute advice, so that's something. Thank you for responding.

Hey so we have the same computer!! I have few things I would love to share with you that have made my life easier! Large mouse pad. Like literally long mousepads. Amazon sells them, they cover the keyboard and mouse. Super useful because the apple keyboard does slide, and it’s super annoying! I also got these keyboard risers to elevate the keyboard, they helped with wrist confront. Best Buy sells the apple keyboard with the number digits. Super useful for me. A monitor stand also helped with posture. I try to keep my monitor at eye level. Lastly, foot rest to help keep that blood flowing! Maybe just maybe a cute sticky note dispenser! You just never know! 😜 I work from home once a week and these little things have made a world of a difference! 👍🏼

Great video but I just had the urge to mention this... If you haven't already, definitely remove the plastic from the iMac to ensure proper ventilation of the system. The airflow intake is alongside the bottom frame and it exhausts in the rear. Poor little iMac is getting suffocated to death lol.
