For anyone majoring in marketing just know that this skill is in high demand so don’t let anyone tell you a marketing major is not worth it... sure you don’t need a degree because you can match it with experience and get the job. But honestly a marketing degree wouldn’t look bad on your resume

Im a junior in high school, and I have been STRUGGLING in trying to figure my true passion, and this video definitely has me sold in entering the marketing field. A bachelor's is business is good because it is in high demand and you can have multiple options within that career field however and mba wohld not be needed right away i suggest get your bachelors find a company to work for that will help pay for your mba in the future.

As a marketing consultant for brands, I LOVE it when influencers, bloggers or just normal people make videos like this that showcase the everyday struggles of either working for yourself or growing a brand from the ground up. What did you do exactly?? I barely noticed any work getting done.

I run a service business, and fell in love with the marketing part of things. I want to start teaching web design, SEO, Google and Microsoft ads, content marketing, etc. Its crazy how much is involved in marketing. Its crazy they are using marketing data to help prevent voter fraud now too. There is just so much you can do with it.

This is my dream job, I’m entering college in the fall. Do you have any tips for anyone trying to enter that field. I’d love to see a video on your journey! ( your hair is beautiful btw!)

Just FYI, marketing jobs have a much higher burnout rate when compared to other jobs. It's a musical chair for majority of companies - marketing people come and go especially for roles with expected results. Nowadays, you don't need to have a college degree to be in marketing. You should research it more indefinitely and have a backup career to have in mind.

Hello ! I have a question maybe someone can answer and give me advise. I am currently at community college and im thinking of majoring in marketing. I am currently taking an accounting & econ class as part of my basic core business classes and i do not find them interesting and they are kinda hard. I am so excited to finally see someone doing a day in the life work edition of being a digital marketing manager. PLEASE FILM MORE VLOGS LIKE THIS I LOVE THEM. JUST SUBSCRIBED :)

So to give everyone a reality view of this career. A career in marketing has a high burnout rate especially if you're in the manager level. Results are to be expected and you're responsible for impacting the bottom-line of a company. It's 100% data-driven, so if you're one of those people who doesn't like looking at graphs, numbers(historical data), forecasting leads or sales, and you don't know how to... connect the dots, then this isn't really for you, or you'll have a hard time with the career. You'll also have to very personable and likeable because you'll be working with a team(other technically skilled marketing people) and other internal departments, vendors and agencies, etc. If you're an introvert, a loner, and you don't like working with a lot of people during projects then this career isn't for you - especially if you're difficult to work with. The most crucial one is the burnout rate is incredibly high because you'll be expected - no ifs - to produce results. That's why you see A LOT of marketing jobs out there - it's a musical chair, marketing people move around a lot, and companies, especially startups, and agencies are notorious for their high employee turnover rate. The video only showed maybe 5% of what you actually do. I do 100% agree that's how most marketing people eat their lunch . 😂

@@rileygallivan24 How are you going to get sales if there are no leads and, worse there not quality leads? How are you going to get sales if you're barely getting 1 or two leads a day? How are you going to close those sale, if you don't have a strong marketing support, strong product marketing roadmap? Don't kid yourself. I've seen how marketing and sales work together, and it's evident you don't know enough about marketing to warrant your comment. Marketing gets you sales. It makes your job easier.

I have been in the sales role before - wholesale sales role for a manufacturer, in fact, a typical sale for us back then was $250k and above, and I had a sales goal that I had to meet each quarter. I also have been working in marketing for a decade, and I have a Master's in Marketing and marketing certifications. I do know what I'm talking about. You're only seeing the sales part, and you haven't seen the amount of work and accountability that a marketing department has on a brand. You haven't seen the amount of work, behind the scenes so that Sales Managers attract qualified leads, and also help them to close that lead. You don't know our KPIs and also lead goals that we establish for sales. Your comment has proven that you don't know what a marketing department does to an organization. The lady of the video was only giving maybe 5% of what the job entails. You probably just think we just post random shit on social media, and that's it and call it a day. No! We target markets, and other potential market to add revenue to the company, which then sales closes. We impact the bottom line, hence a lot of companies are seeking a marketer that is a "growth hacker".

You need to be trained in marketing and business principles to be in marketing. Furthermore, you still have no idea what you're talking about. No it definitely is not. most of the time you have to get your foot in the door making bare minimum easily 60,000 a year if you're lucky a lot of people start at $45,000 a year but it can just as easy as you get up in the ropes and ladders get upwards to $82 a friend of mine is making roughly $120,000 a year so it takes time. sometimes you can get lucky and start off in a great place but most of the time you have to start at the low places. try to find places that are just starting to grow maybe little mom and pops that are wanted to add a couple more shops become somewhat of a brand manager from them and then go from there

but California I would honestly stay away if I are you that place will eat you alive you'll have an awesome job but you'll probably hate every bit of it. because they're taking all your money away from you. move to another state it's almost even better in New York cuz you can at least live somewhat outside of the state doing your job but I would honestly go to places like Texas I have a friend in Louisiana who does several states in a row doing this type of a job and he loves it
