Day in the life of a Community College student 👩‍🎓

Thank you for watching my video 🥺 this was just my first week so that’s why I don’t look so stressed but believe me now when I say, I’m a month in and I am beyond stressed so I’ll probably do any updated one soon showing the struggle 😅

Aw it’s okay to be nervous! Once the first day is done you will feel way better but make sure u know where ur classes are located beforehand so that u won’t get lost, you can probably look up a map on google of the campus, there is a mix of younger and older people but it’s definitely primarily younger students so just try to not have night classes, and definitely don’t procrastinate the assignments and just do them right away so that you can stay ahead of them instead of having to catch up. Also don’t be afraid to email your professors if u don’t understand how to do something because most of the time they do want u to succeed! But you got this you will learn more as time goes on, you got this !

@@lisaweeza9671 thank you so much for your reply! and ah, i figured most older students will have night classes lol. i have a few questions if you don't mind me asking. 🥺 1. is cc kinda like high school with the class sizes, but much more different cuz of the assignments and such? 2. are the workload and exams manageable? 3. what is your game plan for exams/tests usually? do you have any study methods? 4. is it true that it's kinda hard to make friends and talk to ppl in your classes as they're there just to get their degrees only and not socialize? i want to try to make one friend in my classes so i can have one other person to turn to about homework and exams.

@@kawaiibunnbunn I know that this questions isn't for me but I want to help. 1. It all depends really. there isn't really a size. Some classes may have a lot of people and some may have small amount. But from my experience there were roughly 20 people. 2. Okay, so in community college it is best recommended if you take 5 classes to graduate on time. (2 years). And its manageable yes, as long as YOU make it manageable. So I recommend every time you go back home from CC, or if you want to stay in the library...use the time to get homework done. So for one class, do the homework and then go over everything you learned from that class. Do the same FOR ALL your classes. This is a good idea so that you are ahead of the game, so that testing is easier for you. Just so you know you pick your own time and date that is best for you. So like if you want morning classes and you have work at night. Get morning classes, study in the afternoon, and work at night.Thats just one example. Or if you don't work. Even better use time to study! 3. study methods. Again study, study, study. Each day do your homework, and go over what you learned. That's one step method. And then When your professor mentions to you the day of your test date. It is so much easier for you to study because you practically studied everyday even when a test day wasn't coming. But when you know the test date. Simply go over all your notes and let it sink in your head for your test day. Highlight, write down main key points on index cards. Cross-reference your notes to a text book. Keep writing things down and read them out loud. 4. Say hi to specific people that looks nice and outgoing. So if you see a talkative person in your class ask them a question casually. Don't be too straightforward just say hey what classed do you have, how are you Liking this class, ect. IM SURE if you participate in your class. If you constantly keep raising your hand, answer your professors questions. People will notice you and say hey. You have to TALK that's pretty much the secret of making new friends. Don't just speak up in classes. People too. Just give people a little hey.
