It all started when...
My best friend Ingrid from MIT introduced me to her friend at Columbia University.
11:00AM - I arrived to campus. Stunning quiet sanctuary in the middle of the crowded New York City.
11:00AM - I was warmly greeted by @heyhaebean
11:30PM - She took me to the Restricted Access Columbia engineering lab. This is where she spends most of her days - making cool things. They got industrial grade machinery free to student use.
1:00PM - Upstairs in the same building is the Columbia Media Lab. This place is open to everyone. They have more 3D printers than I can count. Also they got a heat press so you can make your own custom clothes. I love how Columbia University encourages hands on learning. You can immediately create anything you can think of in the Media Lab.
4:00PM - Haeyeon took me to her favorite Halal food truck. IT WAS ONLY $5 FOR A MEAL. Yet she was delighted when I offered to pay! Soooo cheap compared to my homeschool UBC. Sad. Tasted fresh and it was filling.
4:30PM - We met some strangers playing Spike Ball and asked to join. I won.
7:00PM - This is the best invention I've ever seen. FORT AMBROSE. It's no secret that Ivy League engineers built this blanket fort. Because it was spacious enough to fit a whole football team. It was outfitted with couches, fairy lights, more blankets, and it even had its own governing rules - no kissing
8:00PM - We played poker while we talked about life.
10:00PM - Before we said our final goodbyes, I officially admitted Haeyeon into Hafu University because she was such a wondering human! I hope she doesn't flunk out.

It's not India where class mechanical engineering means class full of boys.....it's "Ivy League" school.

Desi ho Kya ? Probably yes. It's not India. Here people go to college only they are interested in that subject or professiona, and not bz everyone is going. And also there is gender equality in courses.

Well put together video! I just graduated as an EE and it was a cool glimpse into the life you gave.
I liked how you added the blind dog, it was different from what was expected, like sort of a twist. I think you should up the energy level a bit more and show more of who you really are. Take some more risk, and get us surprised. Maybe im wrong here since this video's goal was supposed to be informative rather than entertaining(I compared to Jimmy Zhang lol). Hope to see make it, youre doing good!

I went to a mechanical engineering talk and it was really bad so I got skeptical on even doing it but after watching this video and seeing the environment and the project you did it reminded me how badly I wanna take the course. Great video :)
On a totally unrelated note Hafu is so cute!
In my country, it is not common for females to enter mechanical engineering. So when i told my parents that i wanna be a mechanical engineer, they were like huuuh🙄. When i tell people about my course, same reaction. They dont believe it at first.

As a mechanical engineering student as well, I currently taking 6 modules/classes in my first trimester of freshmen year. It's crazy and managing your time is really crucial.

Hi, I am a student with Autism applying through QuestBridge through these schools, and I can't thank you enough for all of your hard work in making these videos. I feel a lot of people take your videos for granted because they go sooo in dept with not just campus life, but also the perspectives of students which is very important to me.

@@theghost2501 May God help you, I know what you feel. I have been in your shoes last year I didn't choose to study ME. at all, but now during my last semester I found out what i like in this major (It's Maintenance and Reliability) I felt alive after a long journey of disappointment and misery.
