Hi Tara! I had my LASIK and cataract surgery back in October, and had to have a follow-up surgery for floaters in my right eye. I am so glad I did it!

Sooo cool! I just got mine done 3 days ago at a Lasik Plus in Minnesota! Yes… the smell 🤢 Each day they are getting better but the healing time is more than I was expecting. Congrats on your new eyes! 😁

Make sure you stay up-to-date on your eye drops. I let mine get too dry and they got irritated. Yeah the burning smell was horrible

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m also nearsighted and have astigmatism. I’m so tired of glasses, I have dents on my nose from wearing them for so long but I can’t wear contacts because they hurt my eyes. I’ve been considering lasik but been scared to do it, might be worth it so I longer have to deal with glasses and all the annoying things that come with that like fogging up when wearing a mask or walking inside in the winter.

I had mine done at Lasik plus too last year. Starting 6 months were rough on my left eye Caz of my astigmatism plus extreme dryness. Thank God !!dryness got better now. To be honest extreme heat or cold still make my eye dry,but I can see without glasses and thts a plus.

Believe me it’s absolutely worth it! When I couldn’t recognize my friends within 10 feet, lasic surgery was my savior! It brought me back to life, I was so happy to be able to see faces again and not just some traits. The next day after the surgery was the happiest! I realized that for many years I didn’t see what was around me, and lenses and glasses just made my vision worse. The surgery is super quick, lasts maybe 15 minutes and it doesn’t hurt at all, it’s just a little uncomfortable. I’ve done it 15 years ago and my vision is still perfect

@Angelica Hoover I was extremely nervous as well....but once they did the first eye and I saw how simple it was I relaxed. It was so life changing for me that I do recommend it to friends that are thinking about doing.

We've stopped giving those organic sunny days snack bars because they changed their formulation and took out calcium and iron. Also, they say on their site they are for toddlers 2 years and above. With 5 grams of added sugar, this might not be healthy for a baby as young as Tatum.

Just curious.. what Sippy cup are you using for Tatum? My son is 9 months and the Sippy cup is used for my daughter isn’t working for my son

⛄ I'm praying for you. U are so very brave for doing that procedure on your eyes. I'm a trauma room nurse, and I don't think I could do it. I'm trying to understand did you have a lens transplant, or a cornea transplant, and or was it just to correct you vision? Does your eye doctor do other procedures besides lasik eye surgery?; because my mother is looking for a good eye doctor. Her doctor said that she needed a lens transplant, also she has a cataracts that needs to be removed? I'm asking because I want her to have a second opinion before going under the knife for surgery, especially dealing with the eyes. Thank you for bringing us along on your laser eye surgery, you showed me, and somewhat told me what to expect when my mom goes through her eye surgery. Thanks again!

Tara I had my Lasik surgery over 10 years ago! It felt like sand was in my eyes for a couple of days, I also had 3 different type bottled drops to put in, in less than 4 years I was back to wearing glasses! And this was after a follow up appt, where tweaking was done, tweaking Not the proper term, they used different terminology, 10 years later, my current eye doctor told me DO NOT DO ANY MORE LASIKS TO YOUR EYES! What happened is my cornea thinned a great deal, she said if I do anything else, I could possibly lose my vision, like you I have extremely bad astigmatism, my eye doctor that did the lasik over 10 years ago, said I was one of the worst cases of astigmatism he’d seen! I thought to myself WTH am I doing here and is this going to work! Back then they let you know, if you are a good candidate for the surgery, he said I was. My brother who gifted the lasik to me, as he had his done by the same Dr he’s had No Problems! None! No glasses except for readers from time to time, not sure if age has anything to do with it, as he’s 5 years younger than me, I know he had astigmatism, but not as bad as me. Anyway good luck! I hope complete healing for you and perfect vision for you! 🙏🏼

My corneas were so then they didn't think they were going to be able to do it. But they did and they also told me I can never do it again. It's been over 10 years and I'm wearing glasses for driving only.
