The flowers are dyed! You can do it with a lot of different types of flowers, but basically you cut a bit of the stem and put it in a vase that has food coloring and water - then the flower will soak up the color.

Yep! worked in a flower shop many years & that's how we dyed lots of flowers & babies breath were a sold out al the time.

Yes, regular white can be died but the unicorn is grown naturally those colors.

Allison when you water your flowers try not to actually get water on the plants. You want to water them underneath at the soil top. Watering the leaves and flowers will cause them to get burnt in the sun as the water dries on the leaves.

Exactly what I need after a day of work! The cake actually looks incredible

Ahhh Allison I loved this video!! & you're so sweet for doing this for your friend! I do have to suggest: there's so many fun and super yummy dairy free options at the store and it woulda been so cool to see a full menu of dairy free options for your friend and with maybe a few things with dairy for everything else. Just speaking from experience I can't have dairy at all and someone threw me a surprise party and I couldn't eat a single thing besides chicken and fruit! HOPE TO SEE MORE PARTY/HOSTING VIDEOS!

If you put white flowers in a cup of water with food dye the white petals will turn the color of the food dye after a few days

do you think the colored baby's breath is the same concept as the dyed carnations? Do you remember as a kid you may have put white carnations in colored water and turned them different colors? I bet that's what they did with the baby's breath! It's SO pretty! and how fun was that party theme?! the cake was beautiful, the craft inspired, and just the whole spread looked so inviting!! I want a party now!

Everything for your girls party looked so nice. Will definately try jazzing up a cake like you did. Turned out beautiful.

So anything that you planted as seeds needs to be watered pretty much daily and kept moist to encourage the root growth and help the roots and first leaves pop out of the seed shell. Especially for carrots! It could just be the lighting, but all of your sprouts looked really pale, and that indicates they aren't getting enough water and are dying back. Also, sunflowers get huge and grow massive root systems, watch out, they could wreck your raised beds.

The brown on the cilantro might be from too much water on the leaves, pick off the brown leaves then try watering at the base of the plant instead of overhead. Your garden looks beautiful for your first! You’re doing a good job. ❤️

You're such a good hostess...everything is so cute and the food, including that chunky salsa looks delicious. I feel like when I try to make things based off the example it's never exactly the same either. this is sort of a late response to the latte in another video. As an ex-barista to get a nice foam, I'm going to try and explain in writing what I only know how to explain in person lol. hold the steamer wand at the surface of the drink you'll hear a hissing sound, bring it lower and it should just stay as a slight hissing sound. Have the cup tilted at an angle. When it is at temp or the cup is too hot to touch, turn it off and you should have a nice milk/foam for latte art. If my explanation is off, I'm sure you've already looked up videos but a video explaining in detail would probably be easier. I just saw a cool and easy latte art in a video. You can make little hearts in your coffee but putting 3 drops of foam and then running a toothpick down the center of the dots to turn them into hearts.

Years ago, I worked at a florist shop. At that time, flowers were placed in water with food coloring. The flowers would then "drink up" the colored water which would, in turn, color the flower petals. I don't know if this is how it is still done, as that was the early nineties. Loved how you decorated the cake--very cute!!!

To encourage colors in your flowers, put food coloring in the water, works very well with daisies!

You can add baby's breath to different glasses and add food coloring of your choice with water..I used to do this in school for mother's day way back in the day.. I just love your videos and look forward when I see a notification..

Daisies are good, you can eat them to.. The flowers have potassium and Vit A, the leaves Vit C.. And they are just as cute as Camille flowers. You should put some blueberries, red currents, black currents, gooseberries, raspberries, strawberries, in your garden (eg in the beds around the house and garage walls). They are so easy to look after😊. They grow quick and give so much fruit. I have a tiny garden (way smaller than yours) and have all of them. I also have a cherry tree, apple tree and pear tree, grape vines, and herb garden. I planted it all 9yrs ago when we bought our house.. They give so much fruit.. Except the pear tree.. That takes years.. . Although this year it looks like we will get 30-40🙂.

The flowers are called brudeslør in Norwegian, which in English means wedding veil. They are naturally white. The coloured ones are dipped in colour

Daisies are edible and medicinal. I would double check the variety you have, but you can eat common daisies. The cake turned out so beautifully.

I think the unicorn baby's breath flowers are colored by putting in food coloured water - the flowers draw up the color...
