Day In The Life 11 - Life in Appalachia

Музыка

Katie is pretty happy with her couch and Austin likes his new tree saddle. I've been wanting to clean up my jars for a while now so I am glad I was finally able to get it done! Katie and Dad had a great time fishing and of course Katie loves her new rocks. Comment below and let us know what your favorite part is!

I love you guys. I live in north central Texas and my mom's family is in Floyd County Kentucky. Watching yall is like sitting on the front porch with them just visiting. That's a term that is long gone and I truly miss a lot. Just like dad loading us up and going for a drive. The older I get it seems like the more I miss the older folks and their ways. Now I am the older folks and there's no one who even cares enough to pass the traditions down to. God bless you and your family and keep you safe

I probably trout fished for 15 years before I learned about black and gold panther martins, now I keep a few in each size for spinner fishing. When I got into fly fishing I started tying my own, it's a thrill to fool a fish on a bait you built. Your spinner was a work of art!

I've found great success with a brass colored 1/64th jig head and little tiny tiny bright pink rubber worm that is about 1-1/2-2inches long. Get a razor blade and split the worm in half lengthwise, then use a sharpie marker and color both of the little tips of the split tail black with the marker. I love me some western NC trout fishing. Much love from Gaston County

Enjoyed your day in the life! Glad Deer Hunter got some fish. Katie you are so smart being able to make bait. A real imagination. The furniture is very nice. The rolltop desk reminds me of a story I heard years ago. It was about a young woman that had in her mind the kind of husband she would like to have one day. His character traits. Years went by. She wanted to buy a rolltop desk. She found one that was ok but she was giving up some of the things she wanted a rolltop desk to have so she could just get one. From them on as she used the desk the things that stood out to her were that it had no pigeon holes. And she had really wanted that. She had settled. So the moral is to always keep the things in your heart....a Godly man, moral, funny, caring, love.....whatever your important things are. Don't settle. I told that story to our daughter and granddaughters. Katie your rocks are so pretty! Nick has good eye too. Corie, great job on your canning! Lots of jelly to put on homemade biscuits. And yummy baked beans. Your plants are doing well. Didn't exactly understand Austin's tree thing. But hope he doesn't fall out. Lots of different things going on. God bless you all! 🌻🍃🐟🌳

Liked, subscribed (now) and commenting...haaaa....I recently found your channel and have thoroughly enjoyed watching it. If I didn't know better I would have thought that you girls lived down the road ...except for the mountains and the lovely accent. Your accent is a wee bit different than ours in southeast Alabama...You girls are such a breath of fresh air that it is so easy to take in. So many things in common. One glaring difference is that I love through the sixties, seventies and so. I even said that I was living in the wrong time period. Would have loved to have been around in the late 1800's. Oh well, I've taken up too much of your busy schedule. Thank you for putting out such a fine entertaining content and keep up the great work. You’ve gotten much food put by. I like those shelves that are steel wire, with optional rollers, like they have in restaurant kitchens. I got some at Sam’s, & I think they might have at Lowe’s,etc., very sturdy. Then they can be used for other stuff too. Good job, Corie. My couch is like Katie’s with 2 chairs. My Daddy was an outdoors man too, so the cushions had bird dogs & pheasants/quail on them-very late ‘60’s, early ‘70’s!!! Katie, make some new spinners, but you shouldn’t tell about them until fish are gobbling ‘em up, then make bunches. You could become very wealthy with your idea, maybe like the duck call man did!!! Good luck ☘️
