I'm first-time mom who is 36 weeks pregnant -- I was an only child and I never babysat for babies this young, so I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for videos like this! While I've learned a lot from newborn care classes, it's so much information but no one really goes over how it all FITS TOGETHER. I know this video is old and it was probably just a typical boring day for you, but just know that taking the time to document and talk through it straightforwardly really helped!

So glad I came across your channel, I’m going to be 34 weeks in a couple days and I’m feeling so overwhelmed and nervous about having my first baby, (girl) and seeing you with a routine and that you’re alright makes me able to breathe for some reason, I loved pregnancy but now that it’s coming to an end I feel shooken up because I’ve always thought I’d be the crazy aunt, and I’m scared....But seeing how precious these moments are, and her little life and smiles, makes me unbelievably happy and secure about having my daughter!! I don't know how I missed seeing this video months ago. I'm going through all of your previous videos that I haven't seen yet... it's like reminiscing. You're so organized and get so much done in a day (and not just pumping even if it may feel that way). I can't get organized or keep a schedule and I don't even have a newborn. I was just randomly scrolling and saw this video and decided to watch it. I have one son and he's 41 so it's been a lot of yrs since I was where you are now. I enjoyed your day in the life of a newborn. It's clear that you're happy being mommy and you love your baby very much. Something about this video was comforting and happy. I think you're one of those people who are positive and it draws others to you. I have a sister in law who is very much like that. I love going for a visit to her home. You're doing a wonderful job as a mommy and just keep rocking it. Another thing I've watched other mommy and baby videos and I'm astounded to see all the cool new products that are out there! Hi! I exclusively pump too! A tip to avoid washing the pump after every use, it to put the pump bottles into a ziplock bag and store in the fridge until next use. Then you only need to wash them morning and night :)

@@theblossomingyou1663 no, because my baby boy decided he didn't have time to breastfeed, and just wouldn't latch😅 took the bottle easy peasy, so I pumped. My baby girl breastfeeds np though. :) All babies are different, but it's good to know that pumping is an option before giving into formula

This is so lovely!! Love the peek into your day, and the sweet footage of you and Quinn. So nice to see a dose of “real.” Your list doesn’t even seem like you’re trying too hard to overdo it. We moms have a very busy life indeed but full of happiness. I used to be anxiety about caring the baby. Now the sense-u baby monitor helps me. I feel peace of mind.

She's gotten so big! My little girl was born around the same time, she wasnt preemie but was small enough to wear preemie for a while. It's so fun to see them grow :)

I so, so, wish I was blessed with the pain, the stress, the exhaustion, the beauty, the infatuation, the bond, and everything else that comes with pregnancy and bearing and raising a child. With all of the men i’ve dated, none want a child in their 20’s. I’ve looked into IVF but to go at it alone, I would need to be better off financially. I know the day will come and I just am at the edge of my seat. I know there is more to life and I try not to obsess, but something about having a child. I have always felt like I knew it’s something so right for me. I try to live day by day, although it’s very hard to focus on your current goals when having a baby isn’t just something you jump into with anyone. Having a time frame for a baby when you’re not in a relationship isn’t really practical. It’s so heartbreaking to me, honestly. I hope everyone in my position the best future. Also, your baby is just absolutely beautiful. Such a tiny little bean 🥺

You are such an incredible mom! Your own mother must be so very proud of you, I know I would be. I started reading to my both my boys when they were in my belly and continued through the years as they got older and they were both accelerated readers in grade school. I built quite a library in their bedrooms by shopping thrift stores and yard sales. On Dec 1 every year they got 25 individually wrapped books and they got to open one per day which ended on Dec 25th. They are now 13 and 23 and both still enjoy reading. Also, all I ever used on both boys was Dove soap (per my pediatrician) and they both still today have the softest skin. Really enjoyed this video, you are doing an amazing job!

When I would pump I ended up buying 2-3 sets of parts so I didn’t have to wash them right away. I could even soak them in soapy water too 😊it’s money but it’s worth the investment!

To save time with pumping, just keep your used parts in a ziploc in the fridge/freezer between sessions and then just wash at night! I've done this for 3 kids now 😊

Remember that your daughter is already hearing and recognizing your voice while in utero. It is never to soon to speak lovingly to her!

She is the cutest, happiest baby I’ve seen. She is so so so cute I can’t even take it. You are blessed.

It's really nice how you read to her and stuff. My mom read to me and I memorized the books. She taught me numbers and letters and a lot of things before kindergarten so when I went for my first day, I already knew everything and most of the other kids didn't know their numbers/letters yet. I was so disappointed that I didn't learn how to READ on the first day of kindergarten lol
