Na cena inicial alguns moradores param seus afazeres, ao serem chamados para prepararem o caminho do Senhor. Através de parábolas, canções e danças são narrados os últimos dias da vida de Jesus.
Director David Greene brings to the screen a musical version of the life of Jesus Christ and his gospel. In New York happens a modern version of the Gospel according to Matthew. In the opening scene some residents stop their business, to be called to prepare the way of the Lord. Through parables, songs and dances are narrated the last days of Jesus' life.
