I think this is something that President Ruto needs to keep in mind when forming a new cabinet. All cabinet nominations and appointments should be completely devoid of any political influences or interests. This should be a binding general rule for any new government that comes to power. This is because these influences or interests are the cause of the inefficiencies, we have seen in Ruto's cabinet before he dissolved his entire cabinet. Let's face it the cabinet that was there at first was as a result of the President paying political debt. In short, the cabinet appointments were not based on merit.
