You had me cracking up at the end ‘it’s a sad day for them!’😂 Great video & content! Thank you!
Wearing my brandnew „River crossin‘“ shirt and watching a new episode of „Hiking Dancer TV“, is there a better way to start into the weekend.❤

"It's a sad day for them." 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I would estimate 98+% of Americans don’t use adverbs properly. So I love how you corrected your “quickly”. Happy trails!
At least the skeeters get a last meal, lol.
Straight to Memphis was awesome!! I can see why that would help you up a hill..... Followed you on the AT and now on the PCT.... You are a positive warrior out there...!! Keep it goin!!

Good climbing on a bike track too. Thanks.
Thanks!
You are so funny. A joy to watch your videos
I appreciate the slow pan! Thank you
Best hiking jam when trying to push is “The Last Mile” by Cinderella. Pretty appropriate lyrics, too. 😉
This episode was super fun. I know this area well. Love the familiar scenery ❤
Another milestone, back on the Tahoe rim trail. Great miles and you must be really nice, because all the mosquitoes want to be your friend. Thanks again for bringing us along. Happy trails.
Wow....what a great video.....Great Samba......to bad for the mosquitoes......Thanks
Head net & a bug tamer jacket would save you from the mosquitos...

Wasn't it a few videos back that it was mentioned that mosquitos weren't really attracted to RR? I think the word got out and they took it as a challenge. 🤣
In my 50+ years of getting outside the hiking has always been a struggle for me, wherever it is. It's what I need to do to get to those wonderful places. No thru hikes in my future, but I really enjoy sharing your journeys and can relate to the struggles that occur. 'Straight to Memphis' would keep the feet moving and the mind engaged. Club des Belugas has a lot of musicians/collaborators. Them skeeters, The horror...The horror.
Oh man!!! The mosquitos!!! 😲😲😲
Thanks for sharing the music. I really liked it.
OMG I TOTALLY GOT UP AND DANCED TO Straight to Memphis!😂😂😂❤❤❤!
What a day! A little bit of everything of unexpected! 🥾🥾
that last minute of clips is exactly why im waiting until september to hike the TRT!
You're in my neighborhood now. Sorry I missed you all. Love seeing my hike I do all the time on your video.
Wow Daystart was really beautiful !
Oh my, I am now officially addicted to Straight To Memphis! Gives me a whole new perspective on how you conquered the Sierras! ❤
I hike Carson pass to lake Winnemucca often because it’s so beautiful and full of wildflowers. It was cool to see a familiar place.
'Quadzilla Hikes' did a calendar year triple 👑👑👑 in 2022 🤪
12:20 LOVE IT! The beat, the brass, the bongos…gonna make a station out of it. Ya know when you get stuck in your same old, same old, and need something fresh and exciting, this is it. Thanks for sharing! What else you got on there??
Somewhere "no thank you" 😂! I listened to that song, I really did like that beat as well. 10 got in, you know what that means!!!!😂😂😂😂! Thanks for a great video! - Shybee
You said it a few episodes ago, pointing at you all/guys walking sticks ,the power rangers. I think that will be a nice tramily name for you all/guys,The power Rangers! Greetings from the Netherlands!
Over a number of summers, I used to take students backpacking from Carson Pass to Winnemucca Lake and then on to Fourth of July Lake.....about 12 miles roundtrip at an elevation up to over 10,000 ft. It's an area with abundant wildflowers. A fantastic hike. You entertain me each day with your commentary.....keep it up!
Listened to Straight To Memphis. Awesome beat, surprised you didn’t skip up the mountain 💃🏻😂
Wow those mosquitos are disrespectful 😂
It’s all your fault!!! 😊 About a month and a half ago I went to a group lunch and sat next to Fireball’s aunt. She was telling me all about her niece, the Pacific Crest Trail, your KZread channel, Fireball and Roadrunner. I checked it out that evening, watched your pre-hike videos then went to day 1, watched it, caught up with the others, and have watched your daily videos ever since - as well as those by your cohorts. The other day I was driving home on some back roads, passed over a little creek and heard myself say “River crossing!” Have I been watching too much??! 😊

So Nancy, you won't be able to shake those words even after she stops putting out video's. I've been out hiking between her AT and PCT video's I can't stop that dang "River Crossing" going through my head every I cross even the smallest of streams! I've just learned to embrace it. 😁
You need a head net, LETS GO!
Dang mosquitoes wow!!.
Carson Pass and the entire area is one of my favorite places to hike! Hope you had some trail magic in that cabin/parking lot. If they are open for the season, they always give out food to the PCT hikers! Happy Trails!
Try eating pure garlic for the "skeeters" if you haven't thought of it already 😊
Lol I listened to the song! It has a good beat and seems like good hiking music. Oh my goodness, the mosquitoes! I would be freaking out haha! I know you are not into using off spray because of the chemicals. I use this natural lavender bug repellant and it works pretty well!
I listen to music when cleaning my house, will add “Straight to Memphis “, I just need the Sierras, minus the mosquitoes!
Love Club Des Belugas…we always did tap warm-ups and combos to their music💃
If Somewhere (the hiker) is going to complete both trails this year she better get a move on. She must be finishing the AT sobo cuz they in Maine they close baxter state park in October and she won't be able to summit if she does nobo.
Wow the mosquitos are horrible 😮
Scary to fall but so smart to challenge yourself to get back your confidence. Strictly as a viewer, I prefer the PCT. Mosquito attack...omg! Almost to town! Take care. Happy trails! 👣
Definitely a transition from Sierra to Cascades terrain. Beautiful scenery! Yes, slow pan is best 😊
I had heard, the general up and down, rocky trails of the AT makes it harder. I’m told, most of the PCT is made for a horse to be able to walk the trail. A horse would not be able to travel much of the AT.
Great set Queen at Live Aid in England. The views are just prefect ❤️
That campsite at the beginning of the video was incredible! What a view to wake up to! That lunch spot also looked awesome. That mosquito spot? Not so awesome.
Thanks 🙏
Girrrrrlll!! That song, tho!!! 🎉🎉
Oh man…was out walking up a BIG incline when you mentioned that some! I immediately tuned in and it was awesome!
.. you're right , some places are tough to follow, especially when the terrain is changed by snow ,,, is a smart must to have a printed map of the trail or have downloaded on your device,,, but relying on tech can be a gamble .. ..when you get into town pick up some Permethrin for your outerwear and tent .. it works ..with the snowmelt,,puddles,,ponds and lakes they are a part of the trail environment...
PER CHATGPT: PCT WINS! ### General Consensus: - **Overall Toughness:** The PCT is often viewed as the tougher trail overall due to its physical and logistical challenges. However, the AT is not far behind and is often seen as mentally tougher due to its relentless terrain and weather conditions. - **Suitability:** Hikers with strong navigation and wilderness skills might find the PCT's remoteness and varied climates more challenging but rewarding. Those who are mentally resilient and can handle continuous physical exertion and less varied terrain might find the AT tougher in a different way. Ultimately, both trails are significant undertakings, and the perceived toughness can vary greatly depending on individual experiences and strengths. Many experts emphasize that preparation, both physical and mental, is key to successfully completing either trail.

And what is ChatGpt saying about the CDT? 😊 After watching the CDT-Movie of Austin Seder ('Along the Way'), i would say that this trail is harder concerning monotony (landscapes, roadwalking), little weather protection and lenght.

@@michel.h_cf99 The Continental Divide Trail (CDT) is generally considered tougher than the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) and the Appalachian Trail (AT) for several reasons: 1. **Length and Elevation**: - **CDT**: Approximately 3,100 miles with significant elevation changes, often at higher altitudes. - **PCT**: About 2,650 miles, also with considerable elevation changes but often at more manageable altitudes. - **AT**: Roughly 2,200 miles with frequent but less severe elevation changes compared to the CDT. 2. **Terrain**: - **CDT**: Features rugged and remote terrain, including deserts, high mountains, and forests. The trail can be less defined in certain areas. - **PCT**: Generally well-maintained with a variety of terrains, including desert, forest, and mountain ranges. - **AT**: Known for its rocky and root-filled paths, it is often considered more challenging for its constant ups and downs, though it is well-marked and maintained. 3. **Navigation**: - **CDT**: Often requires advanced navigation skills as the trail can be poorly marked in places, and hikers might need to use maps, GPS, and compass. - **PCT**: Well-marked and easier to follow, with clear signage and established paths. - **AT**: Very well-marked with frequent blazes and signs, making navigation straightforward. 4. **Resupply and Logistics**: - **CDT**: Fewer resupply points and longer stretches between towns, requiring more logistical planning and carrying heavier loads. - **PCT**: More frequent resupply points, though some sections still require careful planning. - **AT**: Frequent access to towns and resupply points, making it logistically easier. 5. **Weather and Environmental Challenges**: - **CDT**: Extreme weather conditions, including snow, thunderstorms, and high-altitude challenges. - **PCT**: Varied weather, from desert heat to mountain snow, but generally less extreme than the CDT. - **AT**: More predictable weather patterns, though it can still be challenging with rain, heat, and occasional snow. Overall, the CDT's combination of length, elevation, rugged terrain, navigation challenges, and logistical difficulties make it generally tougher than the PCT and the AT.

Juliane, you are so funny. Did you make those mosquitos become unalive? Great views. Thank you for slowing down the pan across the views. Where is Somewhere? Oh, she is somewhere up ahead. I'm sure your tramily was glad you moved away from the mosquitos. Ya'll are doing great, making good miles. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Can you define continuous footsteps for a future thru hiker? You mentioned you were off trail for awhile. I went back and watched your AT Hike and enjoy all your videos.
Song slapped 👋… imagined you in dance competition 😂
Mosquito murder!!!
Hiking the Nipple, LETS GO!
That thumbnail freaked me out lol mosquitos are the worst
My uphill hiking song (singing, I don't listen while hiking) is Uphill All the Way, by Kris Delmhorst. "But it's uphill, uphill, uphill all the way. And the journey, journey, journey's gonna take all day."
What portion of the A.T. do already?
Great song. Lol.
That music was amazing! Even my 74 year old body would be bopping up the mountain with that playing. Cool!
The PCT has BIG BOY MOUNTAINS compared to the hills along the AT. The Peaks and Saddles of the West make the Knobs and Gaps of the East seem like playing in the AT sandbox.

Apparently you haven’t climbed the Northern Presidential’s in the White Mountains, during bad weather. They killed an experienced Triple Crowner last winter.
I spray my clothes with permitherin who mosquitoes don’t like
it should be a sad day for them, they’re not friends.
Most hikers have come across trail magic at the Carson pass ranger station. Was there none when you got there?
@HikingDancer......WHY NO BUG NET???????????
DEET LIKE BAD Like Nike says- JUST DO IT 🤪
A couple more mosquitos and they could have carried you up the trail.
Hoping those mosquitos relocated before I hit the TRT in 2 weeks!!
Looks literally like a horror movie! And in such lovely terrain. If there is a god, she/he has some sense of humor!
In 2023 I slipped north of castle crags and Deadman lakes on a small snow traverse that didn’t look bad and totally lost my confidence. Very scary.

Yes, it doesn't take much to be humbled by snow and ice, it's an annual ritual for me that signals "slow down on white!"
Last year in July I was abreast of the nipple on my way to Tahoe as well.
The big white teeth may be freumensch. Here in the Apps .the natives filed their teeth and would seize their enemies to eat. We are carefully doing head measurements and such to determine the public danger. What if the mosquitos carry the zombie virus?
love the music
Ah, yes, the nightly mosquito massacre inside my tent. Seeing how mosquitoes target heat signatures and CO2, it's hard for a hike to avoid their swarms. Don't worry, they'll be gone by September 😂
Could have sworn you'd be more into The Hoff for music, given you being German and all.

Juliane you can’t blame men for being attracted to a women’s body. It’s built into our DNA. Artists throughout history have painted the feminine form. It is God’s masterpiece. You should feel complimented that we name mountains after you!😊

Bugbafflerdotcom, 100% made in New Hampshire, hooded zippered shirts, pants, anklets. Not an endorsement. I had to wear them when picking green beans for 12 hours for farm market. The biting flies, mosquitoes, and knats couldn’t bite through them.
