Huge difference in the dirt volume between the D-6 and the D-7. That thing is going to pay for itself easily with the time savings. Kind of cool you don't have to fool with the root rake either. Just change dozers.

From the time you turned that stump upside down and burried it and when you started to do the final grading on the pond bottom, that old stump flipped right back over. 😉

This episode really gives a going look at how unbelievablely the D7 can move huge amounts of dirt. When Chris was pushing durt up the front side of the damn droping dirt a bit at a time to leave the right amount in place to go back as groom the face it was friggen awesome. Like he was sculpting the face of a fancy cake. I hope there's one last episode in this series.

Hi Chris...Trev from Queensland, Australia. Another great job under the belt...well done. D7 really looks the part...big pat on the back to Clint and the boys.Speaking of the D7, I reckon you might have to look into adding a "hungry-board" along the top of the blade...higher across the centre section, and tapering off a bit towards the ends.. Almost as soon as you start pushing there is rubble falling back over the top of the blade (spoiling Kevin's paintwork !!), and when pushing up a bank (ie: dam wall) I noticed that the rubble overflow is falling straight into the radiator grill...and the last thing you need is a hole in that brand new radiator !!! Keep the videos coming, Chris, as I enjoy watching them. Cheers...Trev.

As I watch the D7 push dirt for the front pond slope, it occurred to me that the D7 was really purchased for an up coming project in mind and it showed up early for/ on this project, which makes it timely happenstance, now I know you said in earlier video that the 7 was earlier than expected. Just a thought. Dam is looking really slicked up now, bet it will be sweet once the water tops off in the future, thanks for the update sir.

Someone finally (almost) put some fish habitat in the way I would. I would have raised that one big stump up about 12'-18' slapped a flatter rock on top and covered it with a clay then gravel layers. Then you get what is hard to find in small ponds namely, shade under it, and a bedding area on top, if within 3'-4' of the surface.
