Day 3- Great Divide Trail Section E- Pinto Pass!

Great Divide Trail Section E (Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper)- Day 3
We hiked from Waterfalls Creek backcountry campground to a small campsite along Cataract Creek. Both campsites required a random backcountry permit. Highlights of the day were Pinto Pass (2441m), Pinto Lake (2104m), and a gorgeous supper on the river bed of Cataract Creek.
Day 3 put us back on track for our national parks permits.

We had bear spray and were making lots of noise in the dense wooded/bushy areas, we didn't see any Bears but there was a lot of bear evidence thou.

Thanks for including the part where you hike back up the hill to retrieve your camera. I forget that you can't just whistle like Roy Rodgers did for his horse. The bugs were visible on the video, they looked annoying as hell. Do you use repellant of any kind. Some of the snow patches looked like sand traps on a golf course. Giddy looks like a good partner and a very accomplished hiker. Stay safe and keep the videos coming.

@@HurlgoatHiker those videos are beautiful; I personally like your authentic style, it does not have to have a crisp clear sound - I hear you well enough ;-) May I also ask: is it the only camera you take with you on the trail? or do you have another one for still photos? Either way - I love watching your videos and this trail looks absolutely stunning; thank you so much for sharing!
