Even if you were raised by your dad after mom’s passing, you have grown up into a beautiful person. Your mom must be a precious human being and had taught you how to become this beautiful person. Those who are teasing you about your mom must not be mentally stable and finding no other basis to poke you and tamper with your inner peace. They are just jealous of you and how happy you are despite all the challenges you have faced. You are a strong girl and you and your family are living beautifully. An individuals behavior is often a reflection of their surrounding and theirs must be little bit toxic to tell the truth. Even if they write such comments to you, anyone who sees the comment will feel pity on them and their thinking. They are definitely not a good follower of Buddhism and you do not pay attention to them. Their action is against the teachings of His Holiness and that’s how they are living their life so why compare them to any of a true Buddhism follower? I pray that these people become clean one day.

If you called such a student unstable then I guess you should check the definition somewhere.
