Day 2 Excavating with the Kubota U35 - Removing the Rock Layer

Day 2 with the Kubota U35-4 mini excavator went well. We cut through the rock layer and got all of the hard to grade material pushed to the outside. Tomorrow we will actually be able to set grade and should be almost done leveling for the new building.

At Rock Hill Farm and Homes we upload new videos at least 3 times per week, about our 20 Acre hobby farm, our John Deere 2038R compact tractor and other equipment, and the businesses that we run.
These businesses include a manufacturing operation, a Christmas tree farm, real estate investing, a lawn care business, and an online retail store. I demonstrate how I am able to use these ventures to earn a good living without a traditional job.
We have some cool toys and always think outside the box on our little homestead so come along for the ride.
You can expect new videos from us every other day, usually around 8 AM.

Big project, good progress! Looks like you could have used a rock/firewood bucket. Just thought I'd get you back for all the times you showed things that made me think I couldn't live without them. A guy can never have too many tractor toys!

I’ve looked at those rock bucket. It be nice to have. If the holes in the bottom right of the grappler a little smaller it would work perfect for it

Goes to show that a heavy equipment operator has a lot of knowledge, to work any site large or small and any type of digging project. I’m impressed with that operator.

Loving these videos! That layer of rock definitely makes things slower. I told you with an excavator and your tractor you could get this done! The hardest part is getting started and a system in place, then things start coming together. Looking forward to the next one! I hope you got Joe’s comparison to the Deere and Kubota on camera 😆!
