Absolutely! I tried learning Esperanto in a week and by “learning” the 800 most common words, I was able to somewhat express stuff!

Fun fact: I happened to learn "Ungeziefer" ("pest") when I started learnig German. I just like animals and this was among the words on a list of animals. It was 4 years ago. Never heard or used it since until now. :D
