Great video of GFM trails and views Hawk. I have hiked it many times but to do it with one hand holding a camera (I don't think so!!!) GFM trails is where I trained for the AT in 17. The new bridge whistles as the wind blows through more than swing like the old bridge. The visitor center is designed for 250 mph winds. Winter climbing and hiking on GFM is quite popular and there are several videos on YT. Thanks for taking us along.

Altra Olympus in REI Red, very nice! Hope they treat you right! I noticed they don't dry as fast as my Timps or LP but they are about on par with the King MT.

Some awesome views and the ladders were cool. Not gonna lie, the beginning had a "gatlinburg" feel if you know what I mean.

I drive the Blue Ridge Parkway almost every year and drive right past the turn off for Grandfather Mountain, definitely going to have to stop and check it out - great video.

How cool is Grandfather Mountain, it looked the whole AT terrain rolled into one Mountain- very awesome trails and views. All followed by HST love. You are blessed. Thank you for putting the videos out, they mean a lot to us.

Great hike Hawk! I will have to check Grandfather Mountain out in the near future. I just hiked from the NJ/PA state line at the Delaware Water Gap to Wind Gap, PA (17 miles in 8 hours). Had a great above the clouds view from Mt Minsi. Thanks for inspiring so many people to get outdoors and hike.

Pretty amazing! Sort of a combination of New England and the southwest for views! Grandfather Mountain area has all the bases covered for outdoor fun stuff except a beach!! LOL

What an awesome ‘zero’ day. Grandfather Mtn. looks like a great hike. Too many people in the beginning though. I’d have masked up in that area since COVID is getting worse again. Tennessee looks awesome. Never realized that it had peaks that high. Great videoing today Hawk. Hike on!

Awesome video of Grandfather. I absolutely love that hike. If your ever in thus area agsin and you take a zero day, go check out Linville Gorge, short off mountain hike. Its just as beautiful and epic.
